Matsuyama Restaurant

Straight up best sushi place around. Sushi is 100% always on point. Since the quarantine I've been trying sushi from anywhere else close by and none compare to this place, not even shirasoni. I cant wait for them to open back up, I'll be eating there for a week straight

This restaurant is small and stark but the fish is always great and all of the ingredients in the rolls are always fresh and crunchy. Ive been to many this is one of my favorites.

Love the sushi

Rolls are good and other traditional entres are good but no individual sushi is available. Service is good to excellent.

When I went service was amazing and the sushi tasted good.

It's a great Restaurant! They could work on service a little bit, but other than that there awesome! 🍱

They sushi was not great. I was pretty disappointed. The price was high and it was the worse lion king roll I have ever had. The lady at the counter was nice but I wouldnt go there again.

Who knew such great sushi in Disco bay?!😁 Great folks too!! Small environment maybe 8 table crunched together but they have to go, pickup as well! Rainbow roll and Crazy monkey !!

I’m astonished at the good reviews!! I’ve lived in at least 15 states in my 36 years on the planet. So far California has had the worst sushi. This Worst Place BY FAR!! Price gouging (I worked at a sushi restaurant in Salt Lake City. Land locked city in Utah. We got fresh fish every other day. Not frozen. Prices NEVER change by season. Lies. Get a new fish vendor if you guys can’t hack it). The fish will be my complaint. And the price for garbage fish. There are other customer service issues but whatever. Find out if you dare.

Great food and friendly staff

First found Matsuyama in Stockton over 10 years ago. They were the best sushi in Stockton then and they are now, hands down, the best sushi in the Discovery Bay/Brentwood/Oakley area!We were VERY happy when they moved into the Sandy Cove center a year or so after we moved to Disco Bay.The staff are all extremely friendly, our 4 yr old daughter loves to see them when we go... Not to mention she loves their Smoked Salmon nigiri and Smoked Salmon Boston roll.

It's small inside, but the food is delicious. The food came out fast.

I'm so bummed not to be able to give a better rating. The customer service was really good. The service was fast. The rolls were a bit wimpy in size, but not too pricey.The spicy tuna was not really spicy though, and that's my fav.The other thing that I didn't notice until I left was that they had a conditional pass on the window.

They serve big dishes and for fair rates. very friendly staff. Highly recommended.
