Listen its really a 3 star because of the wait but the food was so good it got another star! Like the food was so good I cant even take a photo because its gone... I got the white rice oxtails and cabbage. My sister got samon cabbage and mac and cheese. Now it's a bit pricey in there but it is worth it. Your not leaving spending less than 11 bucks unless you are only buying a drink. However the servings are so generous that you dont care. THE FOOD IS 5 STARS

Matrix is the definition of good Jamaican food.. Everything is cooked perfectly and tastes great. The place is always very clean. The customer service is awesome. The prices here aren't bad as well. Its in an area that is convenient for people to reach , no matter which part of town you are coming from. Recommended so many people here already and will continue to do so.

I had the salmon with rice and peas (kidney beans) it was really flavorful. My disappointment was with tge wait time. There was only 1 person serving and on the register. She tried her best however there was alot of people waiting in line. About 20 minutes later someone came to help by that time the like had doubled and they were behind on the uber orders. Just hire more people. The environment was kinda dull too. There is a busted refrigerator and plain decor.

I love this spot! They prepare awesome dishes, they have a rich menu, The chief cook in that place is a specialist, I love very much trying all their dishes. The food is consistently good, the service towards the visitors is friendly. I often go to this place and I not even once was disappointed. I recommend this place.

Porridge is great, service is better, nice to get here in the AM, grab food for the day and get to work easily.

Food decent...

Food isn't bad. Staff are nice; which for a Jamaican restaurant in the Bronx that's a big deal. Their food is a bit pricier when compared to other places... but they make up in portion size. Their shrimp rice is my absolute fave. It's a pity it's not available everyday

If you can't cook it order it.... you wont be disappointed
