Great food and service at the NEW Hairy Melon! 👌 🤣🤣🎉🍺🍸

I took my wife and daughter there for dinner on Wednesday night and the only compliment I can give the food was that the beer was cold, the wine was nice, and the bar staff was friendly.. Firstly we ordered bruschetta for an entree, which come out on garlic bread with out main meals of, lamb and quinoa salad which looked like an absolute dogs breakfast, and tasted like one too with stringy pulled lamb that was as dry as a piece of old cardboard,, and fettucine with "fresh" homemade meatballs,, sorry,, "frozen and dry and tasteless",, with a sauce that would do any homebrand sauce proud,,, and chicken wings that were so overcooked that they were virtually inedible... The chefs there at the moment are nothing but fish and chip shop material, and the publican should be ashamed of himself for letting this trash be served up to the good paying public who deserve more in exchange for their good hard earned... Go somewhere else for dinner,,, "anywhere" will be better... John Brough..

Absolutely scrumptious meal. We had 250g rump steak and added pepper sauce (yum). We swapped garlic chats for chips - great decision, the chips were crunchy and tasted delicious. Coleslaw was creamy and tasty. Onion rings lightly battered and crisp. Corn cobs were perfect! I know I sound like I'm raving on BUT it has been a long time since I have had a "pub" meal even close to this wonderful meal 😁👏👏 To finish we had creme brulee - OMG it was amazing 😍😍👍👏👏👏 The staff were very friendly. The pub was packed for a Tuesday night - I now know why ☺️🥇 If I could give it more stars I would!!! 👏👏👏

Good service, good food. Toliets were a little small though. Close access to a bus which makes it really convenient. This is also a CV19 friendly restaurant

Meal was ok but big problem with air conditioning it was so cold had to eat quickly not just so the food wouldn't get cold but us as well did ask staff could it be turned down but nothing happened so now this is the 2nd time we have ended up with a cold after dining there

Modern up to date venue. Food is great. Staff very friendly. Tried new dish today 13th june 2023. Grilled squid salad. Amazing flavour and great value
