The food was wonderful and the waitress was very sweet.My brother had a chocolate and peanut butter shake and said it was one of the best he's ever had. Definitely is worth a visit!

This place holds a special place in my heart. It was the first ice cream cone for my son. He loves this place. You can eat inside or on the patio. They have chocolates and sweets available to take home. And Michael trecaso is still there sometimes. I love this place. There is something nostalgic about it, it just takes you back and makes things slow down.

Excellent homemade ice cream, delicious pastas (esp the red clam sauce), family owned and family always on the premises. Owner is very friendly and they take good care of you. Love the food. Been around since the 1930s. We go there weekly and have never had bad service. Before assuming the few negative reviews are valid, look at the grammar, whether their expectations were realistic, etc. Some of them were even written by people who admited they had never even been there--just repeating what someone told them! So consider the source. Maybe the owner just doesn't suffer fools well...

Going to Michael Trecaso's for spaghetti, pizza and ice cream has become a near weekly tradition for my daughter and I. The food is great and the atmosphere is classic. It's among the most authentically Akron experiences you can have.

Without a doubt this was the best icecream I have had ever! We have been on a hunt for the BEST Butter Pecan in the areas around Alliance, Ohio where I reside. As of this evening, I may have found it! The pecans were the best I have ever had, & there were many in that 1 scoop. I also had a scoop of Coconut in a dish, as it's my 2nd favorite. I had only had it one other time, over 30 years ago, & tonight's was absolutely delicious as well. The price was on the lower end, so all-in-all, it was a win-win deal! We will definitely be back someday!😁🍨

I love this place. The food is good and authentic. The ice cream is amazing.

It is so sad that the ice cream is so good but I will never return because the service is so bad. I just had a terrible experience with not only the employees but the owner as well over a very simple request. I was yelled at by all parties mentioned. Can not name one time I have been here and the service be inviting and kind. For sure the last time they will get a dime out of me. I would suggest not supporting this local business who can’t even be kind to their local customer time and time again. Horrible atmosphere and horrible people working there.

I couldn’t give a 3.5 so take the four because the ice cream was awesome. I had a banana coconut shake and it was AMAZING. I loved every drop, but I wasn’t too impressed with the food. The pizza was okay but not made to share like the waitress recommended. The Alfredo was nothing to brag about either. It was only really enjoyable with a lot of Parmesan on top. Long story short, I’ll be back for ice cream but not for food.

Just went all the way to the west side of Akron bought 2 qts and 1 pint of ice cream. It cost $24 kind of expensive but this used to be my husband's and his deceased father's favorite. Got home excited to have some great ice cream only to find that it was this icy substance that didn't even taste like ice cream! Very disappointed!!

Fun atmosphere... this was a call in order. Young lady was not very personable over the phone nor in person. I wasn't impressed with the service. Food was ok.

Absolutely LOVE getting ice cream here. Delicious ice cream, great selection, friendly and quick staff.

This is the perfect local ice cream place! They have creative flavors and topping combinations. Their Banana Boats and Showboats are definitely worth trying. You may want to split one with a friend because it's a lot of ice cream. I love this place!

Not a huge fan of the actual food, but the ice cream is great! Pretty expensive, but worth it if you're rich enough not to care every once in a while.
