The best Udon ever. Worth the wait. And the tempura is super yummy. Recommend to all.

Great udon, tons of choice, and quite affordable. It is in a high traffic area and will have quite a long wait at times. It does move fast though!

Prepare to line up to get into this place. Long lineup but it moves pretty quickly. Fresh udon made on the spot with a selection of soup bases and tempura sides.

Delicious!! There was a line when we got there but it moved along maybe it took us around 20ish minutes to get to where we order. I made the mistake of ordering the large portion and I struggled to finish it remember these are thick noodles so they'll fill you up. The broth was savory but also sweet and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The fried items they offer are also good but I wouldn't get the potato one again. Overall, great meal and I would definitely dine there again next time I'm on the island.

The tempura food was good and freshly made noodles. It is rather cheap too. I would recommend you to order small size, the large was too much for us. There is a long line too but it is worth it.

Udon was tasty for its price. The place was crowdy but fast. A lot of tourists did not seem to realize they had to return their own trays- and left a LOT OF mess... they should maybe leave a bigger sign on each tables... other than that everything was amazing.

Handmade noodles! Delicious soup! So many options~Careful because there's always a super big line during peak times (don't be intimidated, it moves quickly!). I arrived at 5 on a weekday, and was able to get in the door right away (thank goodness!). It's absolutely worth the wait as the food is ridiculously cheap ($6-$8 for a bowl of udon) + sides ranging from $2-$4. Cafeteria style so just grab a tray, order your noodles, pick your sides, and pay~They ask that you don't reserve seats before getting your food - to be polite, of course! Save those seats for the people who stuck it out in the line!I highly recommend the shrimp tempura!

Best udon I have ever had including those I tried in Japan! So much flavor, so much depth, and the noodles are wonderfully chewy too. Also, the tempura are delicious. Everything about this place is great. I wish I can live here just to eat this whenever I want.

This place has very good UDON and Tempura. I was very impressed. Noodles were made fresh right in front of you. Very clean restaurant. Friendly and tentative staff. I came here twice because I couldn't get enough of it. So good. Reasonably priced as well. Make this the first stop in to Waikiki and have some before you leave. Line could be long but worth the wait.

Very delicious Udon for a cafeteria style restaurant. Line can get pretty long during lunch and dinner hours. Very affordable food. Staff is always cooking in front of the customers. Tables are small. Seating is always available. No reservations. No saving of seats.

Really tasty, fast, and good value. Well worth the short walk. They prep for a long line and I'd go before 11am to avoid the lines. If I had a long wait it would lose a star.

Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this spot for lunch or dinner when you’re in Honolulu. Don’t be afraid of the long line - it moves pretty quick. The noodles taste so fresh, and you get to pick any additional fried items on your way to the cashier. This was one of my favorite meals in Honolulu!

Awesome food, good price. Dont be afraid of the line out the door, it moves pretty quick. Just as good as any of the other noodle restaurants down the street and for half the price.

I had some of the best udon noodles, I have ever eaten! You can also get tempura and sushi. Do not let the long lines deter you, they move fast. Also, sitting is tight and they do not have a public restroom, so bring handwipes and an empty bladder. I would definitely visit this restaurant again!

Food is good. The staff deserve much more respect for enforcing the "no saving seats rule"! It's clearly written on the door, and having a baby does not give waive this rule for you. This makes it very fair for other guests.

Questions & Answers

It's worth the wait!

They reopened early on the 8th. I stopped in there myself to confirm and it was just as good as my previous visits.

There is none.

Good question.

Great food here, but limited option for vegetarians. The soup base aren't vegetarian friendly. You can order noodles in a bowl, but that's probably not going to taste that great. They have vegetable sides though, tempura mushrooms and asparagus for example. Hope this helps.

Some meals may contain peanuts as they are used in that restaurant (especially peanut oil)

From 4 dollars to 10 dollars

Yes you can. It's self service line to take what you want and then pay cashier at the end of the line. When busy, just let people ahead of you know that you don't want the udon, so that perhaps you can pass through quicker. Enjoy!

There was a fairly lengthy line when we got there, but it moved really fast. Much faster than expected.
