This used to be a fun neighborhood coffee shop where you could get fried egg sandwiches and frittatas any day of the week. Ever since ultra cool (read: ultra soulless) Marigold Coffee bought it from the old owner, its become a bland, sterile and generally uninteresting place. I'm assuming their mantra is "less is more," because there are fewer and fewer items on the menu every time I make the mistake of giving the place a try again. I imagine someday the menu will just be espresso and water.

With leafy greens, streamlined white walls and a bare-bones menu, this place certainly gets the atmosphere of a laid-back city coffee shop right. When it came the coffee, however, the art was aesthetically on point, but the taste was unfortunately bitter and the 'vanilla' sweetener tasted more like a syrupy afterthought. Would love to give this place another go and try a different drink, just to see if another menu item is more my taste. Certainly not a coffee shop for frilly speciality drinks, but 100% a place to sit back and relax at.
