The place was amazing albeit a little too loud. The food was pretty decent, i got the Cuban sandwich and was pretty satisfied.

Really good food. Interesting and very tasty. Loved the bar menu. Very professional level cocktails. It is hard to find a place with great food and a brilliant cocktail menu. The prices were reasonable given the location and the vibe was incredible. Super lively.

Super friendly staff. Our group ended up having one extra person than what we said on the reservation, the manager was very quick to accommodate. Had a really great time! Food was amazing. Loved everything we tried. As well as all the drinks!

Nice place with very good staff and service. But the food is not authentic Cuban, it is more a combination between Cuban names and Mexican flavors. I think I would only go back for the wines and the desserts.

A group of friends and I decided to meet for a last-minute celebration at Mariel a few weeks ago. We arrived around 5:30 without reservations, but the hostess was great and arranged for us to have a table as long as we freed it up for its existing reservation. Overall the staff were very accommodating and the service was excellent - thanks Lexi! We opted to order a few shareable dishes and each arrived shockingly fast and each dish exceeded our expectations.

Was looking for a spot for a lunch for coworkers & this was perfect. Food was excellent, staff pleasant, and the wait for our food was virtually non-existent. Empanadas, cheese puffs, cubanos, crispy fish - it was all enjoyed. Great lunch!

Amazing food and cocktails, which is exactly what you'd expect from the people who brought you Lolita and Yvonne's. Just note that the vibe is very scene-y, which is a bit much if you don't want that kind of experience. Favorite things I had include the Lamb belly, fufu gnocchi, and the empanadas.

This Miami girl felt right at home in this beautifully decorated tribute to Little Havana. The food and drinks were exquisite and the service was absolutely fantastic. I can't recommend this place enough. Don't miss the ceviche or the lamb belly!!!!

Amazing food, drinks and atmosphere. Chef Tom Berry shows his incredible talent again. Definitely, definitely one of the best places in Boston. Try the pork empanadas and gnocchi and the chocolate donut dessert (by Liz O’Connell).

Sooooooo much fun and so beautiful! Mariel is walking into a different experience. Everything is absolutely beautiful and all the details were clearly thought of. Upscale classy place with a fun get wild side. Both floors are fun and there's enough space for everyone one to move around as well as dance and be by the bars. All the drinks not too mention were delicious! Top notch service. If you haven't been, grab some friends and go have a time!

Service was excellent, and the place is cute. This is NOT a restaurant, VERY clubish. Probably would go back for just drinks.

The food was good. Portions were better than expected (I was worried I'd have to eat after but left feeling full with 2 plates per person). Pricey, but could've been worse. My issue was the atmosphere. It was SUPER loud and frentic. For a bar, sure. But for a seated meal at a pricey restaurant, no. Was also seated 30min after my reservation (party of 2).

Mariel offer a good vibe with a well designed bar/restaurant upstairs and lounge/bar setting downstairs. It has recently opened and is getting a lot of attention because of that. Drinks are good but it is not impossible to find better in Boston. The price is above average but matches the style of the restaurant. I have not had food in this place but have heard mixed reviews from friends. Some loved it and some did not at all. I give it 4 stars because the bartenders/management need time to adjust to the crowd on the weekend and enhance service. I had a horrible experience with a rude bartender but don't hold it against this bar just yet because I like it and have gone back there couple more times since then. There is a line on the weekend and I assume it may get worse as more people find out about it and want to see it so prepare to wait in line.
