The reviews were right on the mark. This restaurant is a hole in the wall. Certainly no ambiance but delicious no frills food. They offer the usual rice and beans and a variety of fish, beef, chicken and pork dishes. They are located directly across the street from Havana Restaurant. It is a very small and cramped space will small tables. The food I rank five stars but overall i had to give it four stars. The prices for the dishes in the heart of the theater district can't be beat.

One of my favorite lunch spots. Love the steak with plantains. Staff rocks! It gets too busy during regular lunch hours.

Its not authentic cuban, its more like cuban style. The food is not bad the prices are fine and the food is fresh. Good place to get a quick bite to eat before peak times. Again remember, its not authentic cuban.

This place drips with authenticity, in Times Square of all places! I went because a friend suggested that they have the best cubano sandwich in NYC. I got the pernil with rice and beans. It was grandma recipe good. Will stop by hear whenever I'm in NYC.

Excellent little Cuban diner just steps away from Time Square. We had an excellent experience, friendly staff behind the counter that were fun to be around. The food was delicious, we both had the Cuban sandwiches, they were phenomenal. As were the side dishes. We had a delicious and filling lunch complete with a soft drink and Cuban coffee for less than $25, a great bargain amidst all the big chain restaurants of nearby Time Square.

A hidden gem for those who enjoy Cuban/Puerto Rican/Dominican food. Not your upscale NY restaurant. But... Great tasting, reasonable prices, and quick service.

Good ole home style Caribbean Spanish food. Cuban/Dominican food. They been at this location for over 40 years. The steak sandwich with onion is delicious and you can't leave without having a cafe con leche, it hits the spot. (The coffee price is a bit high), but for this area, it's worth it!

Great food, but do not go during lunch break. You will have a long wait. Even if order ahead of time

Do not be afraid to navigate the insanity and tourists of Times Square to check this place out! This place is absolutely worth hitting up on a regular basis for lunch! Food quality and prices are untouchable!Note! The ONLY reason this place is getting a 4 star is after eating here I smelled like a Cuban Sandwich for the rest of the day... not a deterrent but plan appropriately... sit by door maybe or just do take out!

Friendly service, great location near Times Square. We went around 11 am and there was no line. I ordered the Cubano sandwich with black beans and rice. The beans and rice were delicious. The sandwich was just okay. I would definitely return to try some of the other menu options.
