Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant and Pub

My friend and I ate here the last night of our vacation and absolutely loved it! We wish we had eaten there earlier- we would have eaten there every night. Kurt was our server and he was fantastic! He made great suggestions on the menu and gave us history on the amazing tree in the patio area. The food was delicious and fair portions. We shared a few sides and apps with drinks and dinner. 5 stars all the way around! The Mar Vista Tots and Risotto are highly recommended! My friend got the Snapper and loved it too. We will be back next vacation down there!Tips: *Sit outside on the patio, it has a really cool tree with string lights and a dockside view*Get the Tots & Risotto for sure, they have several delicious shareable sides in addition to those, all great*Drinks are really good. Get a Rum Runner!*Finish with a slice of Key Lime pie*Parking was valet, but there is street parking down the whole street

We dropped in for dinner after a long day at the beach with a large group for a bachelor party dinner. There's no reservations and you whole group has to present to be seated. We were quickly seated outside to enjoy the great weather.. Our waiter was friendly, courteous and responsive. We ordered lots of appetizers from the broccoli, mac and lobster, fish spread, oysters and more. Many entrees were tried from the salmon to the coippino. Everyone was pleased. I would definitely come back.

We sat out side under the trees by the water and that was wonderful ! But I would truly advise against having the brussel sprouts as they have way too much sauce on them and I got very sick after eating them.

Went for lunch. Great menu choices. Stone crab claws, yum. Bit pricey but ambiance and design make up for it.

Excellent seafood. Good dockage. Outdoor seating with shade from trees.

We like going here for the views and dining. Although the service was great every time, our orders did not always come out right or fully cooked. It was not an issue for us as they resolved it without further concern.

Amazing seating along the water between intertwined trees. Best raw oysters I've had in a long time.

Love stopping in when out boating! Very clean and offers great outdoor dining. Food takes awhile to come out, but that's okay because it's usually delicious. Highly recommend the bacon wrapped scallops!

Beautiful location. Had the shrimp and grits. It was way too spicy. Heavy on shrimp dishes could have used some other Seafood entrees.

Fresh, hot and delicious with a casual atmosphere. Awesome place. Watch where you park! LBK's finest will happily ticket you while you dine if you park on the street and miss the signs.

Ate out on the sand just a few feet from the water. Amazing atmosphere with really great food and service. Only downside was not being able to make a reservation.

THE BEST Bloody Mary I’ve had in a long time! We ordered three (the jalapeño one)! Beautiful outdoor seating on the bay, friendly, good service but mediocre food for the cost. I don’t recommend the ceviche but the po boy sandwich was decent.

Had a great experience for dinner at Mar Vista. Our party had 11 people and we were seated quickly outside on the patio. The outdoor seating is very charming, with pretty string lights on the big trees on the waterside. There is a long dock you can walk and they have boat parking. Tons of fresh catches of the day and the food was really delicious. Dave, the owner, was very friendly and accommodating, checking on us and visiting with us throughout our time there.

Update 9/22/19 It sure would have been nice to know in advance that we could have ordered an entire meal for the prices we were charged for a sandwich and fries. I appreciate the response and have changed my review from 1 star to 3We came in yesterday around 4pm to grab some food. Its been several months since we have been. We did not see the grouper sandwich on the menu so we asked our server if it was still available and she told us that it was and that it came with fries. We each ordered it with water and lemon. When the bill came we were charged over 50.00. We realize you are fine dining with a great location but we just wanted to know if there was a billing error or if that price is accurate. Thank You.

Wonderful service, food and views. Had the best meal here (fish tacos and key lime pie) that I've had in a long long time. The flavors of the fish and slaw were mouth watering!
