Mama 'n Papa's Pizza Grotto

Mamas and Papas never disappoints. Their dinner salad and antipasto is always fresh and plentiful. The pasta and pizza is delicious. I recommend their made from scratch sausage or linguine with clams. My husband loves their chicken fettuccine alfredo. And don't skip the garlic bread! Its fresh sourdough with garlicky butter, soft inside, crunchy crust and mouthwatering. Smells just like Little Italy!

Think Filippis now add homemade Italian sausage. If you haven't been here SHAME ON YOU!

Best Italian food I have had in years. Portions Are fabulous. The only place I trust during this virus. They are a family, and you feel like they are making everything safe . Thank you all ! We will get through this !!!

Over the last 25 years, I've been to M&Ps literally 100 of times. The place still looks and feels wonderful. Their sandwich bread, for all this time, remains delicious, with a taste and crunch as good as anywhere. But today, the capicolla was loaded with gristle, some of it couldn't be chewed. Was I bummed! Normally, it is excellent. I'll give it another try, because I like this place that much.

Service was exceptional! Food was delicious. I have lived in Vista my whole life and i cant believe I had never gone to this place. Definitely recommend it!

Excellent. A Large "Special" is a 5.5 lbs pizza with toppings piled on like a private buffet. The crust has the subtle sweetness and lively chew of Italian loaf bread. Very nice. I'll definitely be back for more.

The feast for is a great deal for a couple to share. Salad,bread for two. A small pizza and lasagna & spaghetti

There is absolutely no better place to have lunch when you want excellent Italian food. For less than $10 you can get a nine inch pizza and a salad (making sure you get the house dressing). Believe me, there will be enough pizza to take home for dinner. They also have wonderful special each day with a wide variety of choices. Their staff is always so friendly and the table service is quick and correct. The only reason you would give this place a bad review is if you had really bad taste.

Been going here since I was very young with my dad after softball games. Family events and friends gettimg together. Always a homecooked feel to the meals. I reccomend going there. Love it all. Especially the torpedo.

The pizza is incredible and the meatballs are to die for! They are huge! Everything seems to be cooked from scratch and has that really nice mom and pop feel about it. (If you didn't already assume that by the name haha). They have specials on the weekdays so pop in and try anything! The lasagna is delicious too! Today we ordered a medium pizza and 3 meatballs!! I drove 30 minutes on the 78 fighting traffic to grab dinner here. Worth every minute and every penny.

Had small pepperoni pizza. Wife had beef ravioli with meat sauce. We both had a salad. Salad was good, dressing was.ok. Pizza crust was too thick with little or no flavor. Wife enjoyed her raviolis.

Wonderful love the thick crust and cheese my go to is the works with onion. There lasagna dinner is also great. Their Italian dressing is the best cant get enough.

Hell to the YEAH.. best pizza in North County in my humble opinion good service great atmosphere what's not to love about this place
