My Veal Marsala was tasty and the service was excellent! It's terrific that they have Gluten free options, but they should warn you IN ADVANCE that it's $3.50 extra. Better yet, they should PRINT THE COST on the menu. Rice noodles are cheap and I think it's taking unfair advantage of someone who needs to avoid wheat, charging any more than a dollar for the substitution. 🙄 Also, if you have an early dinner (six-ish) expect the place to be full of families (kids), which doesn't bother ME, but isn't conducive to a romantic dinner date.

Food was excellent. We had a little mishap that landed us at a new table and the staff was wonderful. Kind & gracious. Rachel our server, and Jeff the manager, were so good to us. We ended up having the most delicious meal. So glad we didn’t leave because I was mortified at what happened. We had ordered all this great food and I was starving. So glad we powered through and got to enjoy our evening after all. Couldn’t have asked for better service. Thanks guys!!

The food here was amazing!!!! We ordered the pesto pasta and gluten free fettuccine pasta. The gluten free was amazing and I can't believe it was actually gluten free. My husband loved his pesto dish as well and he said it's the best he's ever had!!!The starter bread wasn't great though but we would def come back.

Cool old world ambience. My seafood pasta was A-mazing. Typically with that sort of dish I end up with all my seafood gone and a big bowl of pasta left. Had the opposite experience here. There was so much seafood I couldn't eat it all and each piece was extraordinarily well-prepared and seasoned. And the amaretto cheesecake made by their in-house pastry chef? Just.... Wow. Our server Nick was very helpful and attentive and made us feel completely welcome. Downtown Portland is expensive in general but this place is a good value for what they serve. Highly recommend.

Really great spot. Came here with friends for their happy hour and I'm glad we did. Their happy hour food prices are incredible. We tried the clams, manicotti, lasagna, and the calamari. Each one was top notch. The drink specials we also quite good and the service couldn't be better This is a must visit spot for me now when I come to Portland

Enjoyed the Pappardelle Bolognese and the Cioppino. Good service.

We love this place. The apps are the best in town! Excellent service! The Bartender is fantastic, and the atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. Easy location to get to.

Delicious dining alert! Mama Mia Trattoria is finer Italian dining set in a convenient downtown location in Portland, Oregon. With it's cozy atmosphere, it makes a great dining option for a family setting, or romantic evening alike. Featured: Eggplant Parmesan; Seafood Fettuccine • also try: Fried Zucchini•Not pictured: the adult's dessert. A difficult capture since it always seems to be immediately inhaled upon delivery to the table.

What a lovely classic Italian restaurant. You walk into a fountain before entering the restaurant. Classic decorations on the walls.Lovely environment and atmosphere. Friendly staff.Great food with complimentary bread. The waitress offered more bread when we finish our bread.We had pasta for dinner and it was great.At the end, the bill comes with a little feedback sheet which I like. I left some positive feedback to the waitress.I recommend this restaurant. I didn’t expect to be this good.

Good solid B+ Italian restaurant. The food and service is right down the middle, not bad and not great. Like the Starbucks of Italian food. If you're craving basic Italian, with a nice atmosphere. Plus it's a great spot to bring large groups. Only thing that was a little sub-par was the bread. It's a small thing, but the bread was hard and maybe a little 'old', but maybe that's the style. Who knows

We found this place by chance! So good and the service was so nice! Bar has a good selection. Kids get a sundae, so everyone was happy! Love it all!

Always good food. I brought my 7 and 9 year olds here for a special dinner and they were welcomed wholeheartedly. Friendly service. Busy but not crowded.
