Eggplant appetizer was really extraordinary. I have never had anything like it before. Slices like a pickle spear - perfect texture - soft but not slimy. Also not expensive especially given the area. We spent less than $100 for three apps and three entrees.

It's a really good place for big groups! The appetizers were great and I would highly recommend Peppercorn fish and Cucumber salad from the appetizers. They were really great!

The staffs seem disgusted by their job, hanging around with dead face, they may too tired to say a word, just response with a glance, even not noticing your glass is empty. Food is ok though, except taste a little too sticky for the dry hot pot. Not a good experience eating here, disappointed comparing with the advertisement.

I went there for lunch with friend. it’s a full house by 12:20 pm, but waitress was very nice to save a table for me while waiting for my friend to arrive . both of us loved the taste but i think it’s too spicy and salty . I asked for no-spicy but waitress said it’s only available for the group dry hot pot. the decor is elegant and bathroom is very clean. So I’d like to give it a five stars if 1) they don’t charge us $2 for a small cup of rice . 2) give mild spice option for lunch specials

Amazing food! Hard to go wrong with the dry pot. Frog was excellent, pork belly, beef tenderloin, Lamb, etc. Cocktails were inventive and amazing. Go here!!!

Addicting dry hotpot stop that can run you a pretty penny if you love variety like I do. Flavor is really good but get can oily.

Absolutely delicious. This was my first dry hot pot experience and I can’t wait to go back for more. You can stay as simple or as adventurous as you’d like. The restaurant was well decorated and clean inside. Service was excellent and the food came out super fast. The flavour of the food was insane. Think a very flavourful stir fry. You get really generous helpings of protein so their guideline of recommendation for amount to order is pretty good but would leave you really full.

Great place for a hotpot meal. Got the dry pot with custom ingredients, and it was delicious. The nice ambience and service made it a great experience overall. Would highly recommend!

Mala project might be my fav restaurant in New York. It’s very authentic (yea even compared to flushing). I love the ambience. Something about their decorations, menus, Instagram post, and most importantly the food is very unique. It’s like one of those directors whom you can identify by just looking at the movie poster. If you take the menu from mala project and show it in a random coffee shop, it is still immediately recognizable. The whole restaurant has characters. The food also tastes exactly like how they are in China. The lychee black tea is great. I also recommend the baijiu cocktail.

It is always busy around lunch time because food comes out pretty fast and the food is so good! I am so happy to have this place in midtown as well because I dont have to go all the way downtown to have a good dry hotpot. Flavors are genuine, and restaurant is cute and cozy. If you dont have to have lunch around 12-2, you will more enjoy the food because it is peaceful after lunch rush time.
