Arepas are delicious. Although service can be improved a bit. But overall a good place to enjoy delicious food options

Nice atmosphere. Food is good. However, there are a lot of Mexican places in the Junction, and Maiz needs to up their game to rise to the top.

Fun restaurant to have a few drinks and try a variety of Latin American fare. Definitely recommended if you are a fan of Mezcal.

A bit pricey but that's standard for Toronto lol. Really delicious street food style Mexican food including great vegetarian and vegan options. Also, great margaritas and fantastic atmosphere.

It is a very small place that need a bit improvement. I had the Venezuelan breakfast and the egg was a bit to cooked, at the first site looked burn, but wasn't, the arepa was too big, would've rather two small ones and the meat a bit salty. I eat it all, because it was ok and it was pass 1 pm and had nothing on my stomach, The service was good

Great and authentic! Very tasty and fast. Salsas were 10/10...brought some to take home. Renata was an excellent server as well :) will certainly be coming back

Food was fantastic!! The guacamole was the best I’ve had in a long time. Very friendly environment and music to make you feel like you are truly having a Latin experience.

Arepas - one of the best Arepas I have ever eaten. Very tasty with such great flavor. I had the “Llanera†and I wanted more!!! They are super friendly and love the place. I haven’t tried the other items in the menu but I’m sure they are super yummy. My own complaint would be the price on the arepas. Seems too much for just one. If they were like 2/$20 that would seem more reasonable. I paid $15 for 1. Other than that I highly recommend this place. I will definitely come back to try other items in the menu. :-D

Great spot, whether you’re looking for quick bite or a longer relaxed meal. Lovely warm ambience, and really tasty, vegetarian friendly dishes with generous portions. Service was fast and friendly. The drinks sound amazing, though I didn’t have any this time around - will definitely be back to try some, and some more menu items, soon!

As a taco connoisseur this place definitely blew away my expectations. It’s the ONLY place I’ve gone to in the GTA with authentic made from scratch tortilla shells. The fish tacos are delicious. The portions and toppings are huge and super fresh. The gobernador is my 2nd favourite besides the fish. Tuesday’s are amazing 3 tacos for $12 (normally 3 for $15) you can’t beat that anywhere. Too many people opening up taco places without actual Mexicans In the kitchen so this is refreshing to taste REAL tacos without being subjected to dry shells, bad portions, rude hipster waiters and terribly LOUD music like every single taco place that’s opening in Toronto the last few years. You will NOT be disappointed 😋. Food: Fresh, made from scratch, large portions. They also make their own sauces -I recommend the avocado and the creamy cilantro sauce Decor: clean Mexican boho chic Drinks: the passion fruit lemonade is delicious

The taste was amazing ðŸ˜ðŸ˜. Highly reccomended. Chicken burrito with guac, arepa carnita with cheese, vegan tacos and churros are a must. This is the spot to eat Latin food in Toronto

What a lovely restaurant. The free salsa was magical, so much flavour packed into a sauce. We had the tacos with beef and prawns and both the beef and the prawn were perfectly cooked. We will be coming back with more people next time!

Tacos are S O L I D here!! Highly recommend the gobernador and their chorizo tacos!! Fyi if you get seated at the back it does tend to get hot a stuffy. Great spot for authentic Latin food!
