Upscale, as a lunch place. Very nice interior, helpful staff. Interesting Afghan menu, food well prepared. Good mango lassi. The usual downtown parking challenges.

Very good food. Not sure how Afghanistani it really was because I've found food like that at Indian and other desi restaurants but nonetheless it was very good and filling. Definitely recommend the chick pea curry

Really good food and it’s a quaint little place right by the Hippodrome. We had the chapli kabob platter(9.99) and the kofta kabob platter(10.99) with biryani rice, chutney, naan bread, and salad. For the price you get a decent amount of food and it really fills you up. The ambiance is great and the staff is really nice. It’s more of a walk up and order kind of place as opposed to sit down and give your order so no waiters/waitresses in that sense, but you get to pick a table of your choice and someone will bring the food. I’d recommend it for sure especially if you’re close by and need a filling meal.
