Main St. specializes in handcrafted breads, pastries, and gourmet cuisine using traditional methods from France and Europe. We also specialize in wedding cakes and desserts. Our gourmet cuisine consist of both breakfast and lunch menus. We also provide catering from Corporate lunches to wedding reception. Really lovely place to eat and enjoy the atmosphere, the food was outstanding and the service was excellent. We were made very welcome the moment we entered, and we felt very relaxed. We were very lucky to have got a table at such a late time, usually the reservation needs to be made a week before, but we have it a go and i think because people aren't coming out to eat meant we got a table. Not cheap but very worth the price. Thanks for the lovely experience, we'll be back in the mid week Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday 3course set menu for £20 each next time. We live so close i think we will be in more often,,, Happy eating

My friends treated us to Bridge Street Bistro for an early birthday dinner for my husband. They had a special three course dinner menu option that night that I selected. I chose the prawn salad starter, a very juicy stuffed chicken dish and bread pudding for dessert. My husband had the beef Wellington. It was tender and savory and he enjoyed every bite. Our friends ordered the prawns and fried mushrooms for starters and we all shared. They both had a steak and potatoes for their main course. A bottle of wine later, the conversation was flowing and this dinner was the perfect start to my husband's special day. Bridge Street Bistro has really good food and is a great place to celebrate a special event.

Ever since watching Gordon Ramsey cook Beef Wellington on YouTube I've always wanted to try it. It was delicious and what better place to try it than at this fantastic little restaurant in Hitchin. My wife ordered the stuffed chicken and was very pleased as well.
