This restaurant is located in the historic Chalfonte Hotel in Cape May, New Jersey. This past weekend I hosted a rehearsal dinner there. The price fixed dinner of 4 courses was extremely good and I would like to write a review. My guests really enjoyed the atmosphere and great food and I would highly recommend it.

Incredible food! Only complaint is that the food takes a while to be ready but otherwise is perfect!

We went to the Magnolia Room based on what we learned about it on the Curious Cape May bike tour. We heard that the fried chicken and biscuits were amazing. Overall, we thought our meal was good not great. As other reviews mentioned the food was not hot, but it was warm. We got one half fried chicken, the scallops, the chowder, and a lot of mac and cheese. Oddly, the famous chicken was our least favorite. It was a little dry and rubbery in some places. The scallops were the best thing we ordered. Everything else was good, not great.The chocolate pie was good and the snow pie was just ok. The latter, a white chocolate pie tasted more like cheese cake than white chocolate pie.We loved the dinner rolls. Our only disappointment was we couldn't get more.Lastly, Dillon, our waiter was fantastic!
