If you have yet to experience the local tacoma staple MSM, you are truly missing out. Best sandwich spot in town hands down, amazing bread, meat and freshness all around.

The size is worth the price you pay. All ingredients are equally flavorful. Each bite I took, I was able to taste the cheese, meat, and veggies. No ingredient overpowered the other. There is amount of small table seating in the front, but a whole lot more seating in the back area.

This place has been my go to spot for a great sandwich for years! Fresh ingredients, great bread and meats! You know this place is good when hospital staff,and emergency responders frequent it. I always call ahead, as more often than not there is a wait.

Tacoma icon. Been a customer since I can remember. Never had a bad sandwich. Always fast service. Definitely a must try when visiting in the area!

Best sandwich place in Tacoma. Forget the chain stores and corporate names. This place beats em all. But be advised it is definitely a dive joint that may put you off at first appearance. It's a bit run down structurally but it is great food. Try the magic cookiea (no illicit additives) just magical in taste. And believe me these sandwiches are the best. Just try it out you'll be satisfied.I'd recommend the French dip!

They are truly magical sandwich makers. The sandwiches are delicious, and pretty healthy.

Appearances alcan be deceiving! MSM reminds me of the tiny mom and pop deli shops I used to visit with my grandma in St. Louis when I was very little. They have delicious food and a wide variety of unique snacks and drinks to choose from. Not to mention the staff are incredibly friendly, accommodating, and hard working! I will definitely be back many times in the future.

“Magical” might be a stretch but the sandwiches here more than live up to the hype. It was hard to branch out from their basic veggie but the egg salad is pretty amazing, too. You definitely don’t come here for the atmosphere so call ahead and take it to go. Not that this is going to be a problem, but I recommend eating them the same day—they get a little soggy otherwise.

Sandwiches are phenomenal and have been for years. MSM is a local hub in our community. Similar style sandwich like Jimmy Johns but much larger and better tasking. The staff is quick to assist. Can sometimes be busy around lunchtime because their food is great. And the cookies are next level.

Fresh food and huge portions. Worth every penny and haven't had anything I didn't like!

As a City Of Tacoma Employee I have the privilege of enjoying MSM often. MSM makes some of the most delicious sandwiches you have ever experienced, and their Magic cookies will leave you speechless wanting more!

It's the fresh bread! I have no idea how to explain it, but when I called in an order 10 minutes before closing, she mentioned they were out of the fresh hoagie rolls. She asked if Sour Dough was ok, and I said yes. I like all kinds of bread. I guess I didn't realize how much I love their sandwich rolls the most. The sub was still very good, but I will definitely think twice about ordering again last minute. I don't ever want them run out of rolls. The sandwiches are like no other and the best in Tacoma!

Coming back to MSM feels like reacquainting yourself with a friend who you haven't seen for a long time, to start off with it might take a little bit to get back in the flow ( I remember when MSM didn't have lines, I'm happy for them just sad it takes 3x as long to get a sandwich.) But once you get in the flow you remember why you liked them so much. I am incredibly impressed that over ten years since I started going to MSM the quality has not dropped, and prices have only gone up marginally. I will always have fond memories of MSM, and I hope they continue making great sandwiches for many more years.

MSM is hands down my favorite place in Tacoma to get a deli style sub sandwich. My go to is the Mike's Deluxe with some added bacon. A sandwich you won't regret. There's also a nice selection of chips and beverages, from sodas, iced teas and juices, to the alcoholic fare: domestics and crafts, to wine.There can be a bit of a wait if you come in around the lunch rush, between 11-2ish, so I recommend calling your order in.
