Good basic pub food,. With veg options as well. Very well-curated beer selection.

Nice place. Went with a coworker for lunch. Nice variety of food. I order the smokehouse burger. Really loved the fried avocados.

I've only recently started coming to Maddy's but, I've had nothing but good experiences the few times that I've stopped by. Great list of beers that are what I'd consider averaged priced. While I can't remember the exact details of the Happy Hour specials, I do remember that they were very good and worth it. The bartenders are very personable and very attentive as well. Two qualities I look for when I sit down to enjoy my drinks. There's one male bartender in particular whose name I can't seem to remember but, he was great and shared my enthusiasm for watching people down shots or Fireball as if there were some shortage of the stuff. If you know who I'm talking about you can drop his name below. So, if you're ever a little thirsty, hungry, need somewhere to grab a drink and take that edge off for a first date, or just happen to find yourself in the Thomas Circle area you should definitely give Maddy's Taproom a try. I'm certain they won't disappoint.

Fun place to stop by for drinks and appetizers. They have a few mixed drinks to choose from, and some ciders available for those who don't like beer. We shared the nachos, which were delicious and a huge serving size. Good environment for hanging out with friends, family or on a date. The staff all seemed very nice and helpful.

So good! Met my husband there for lunch today and the food and service was so so good. Probably the best cheeseburger we have ever had, and the shrimp tacos were just as delicious. I would highly recommend Maddy's Taproom if you are looking for quality food and a fun place to eat.

So much fun! My mom and I came here for trivia and then went again just to eat. The food is INCREDIBLE. We got the crab dip and chicken quesadillas.......... Makes me want to move there to be able to eat there more frequently. Friendly staff, cool environment. Go eat there for sure!

I'm not sure how this place has racked up so many service complaints.I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Our bartender was super nice and very prompt. Add that with typical bar prices for the area, but above average food and you have yourself a solid bar option.The portions were impressive btw. The chicken tender appetizer was definitely more like a meal and went well with a lighter lager.

We all had Thanksgiving dinner there today , we had an amazing Server . His name was Brian. If you go, there request him, he wont let ya down , He make ya feel right at home and keep ya laughing

Not sure why anyone would want to come here. I've been here twice. My second time as of right now. The first experience was the wait staff isn't very friendly. I've been at my table waiting to order almost 20 min and not one sole has ask to take my order. To boot it's hot as outside in here. My opinion. Needs new management or owner, at least better wait staff.

Their beer on tap was great and their happy hour food was great. Would have given 5 stars but a tomato in their hummus plate with veggies had mold on it.

Good menu section. They give you extra ranch and the shrimp sandwich is fire. I honestly love it . More than anything here , before i forget they gave a lot of plates with pickles options.

Very good food and service

Excellent beer, food and staff. We are definitely coming back to Maddy's the next time we are in DC. This feels like the local hangout we have been looking for. Warning, nachos are huge but we had finish them. Just too tasty. I wish there had been room left for fish and chips.

Maddy's Taproom is your standard, average downtown DC bar. Don't expect to be wowed, but you can expect a few good things:1) Drink list: It's massive and have a large draft and bottle list including hard ciders on tap and in the bottle (Austin's Cider, Bold Rock, Angry Orchard, etc). If you don't love beer, they have a wine list as well.2) Fries: The food is meh, but their french fries are actually good! They come out thick and hot and so tasty. Ask for ranch dressing on the side to dip them in.3) Space: It's huge and you'll always find a table for a large group.Enjoy!
