MadCap Coffee Company

I have been to this coffee shop several times and liked that it was a mom and pop. But I will no longer be a patron here. Today I witnessed the owners fire one of the workers. It seems the staff was a no show for a shift and was late repeatedly, which in itself is fine, it is there business. But, both the owners questioned the staff member in front of customers and proceeded to tell her that they don't need employees like that working for them. The publiciness of the firing, the disrespect and disregard for this employee is what will prevent me from returning. How dare the owners put the employee on the spot in front of patrons. I am disgusted with the owners' lack if human kindness.

terrific coffee. yes, it is on the pricey side, but the quality is unmatched in grand rapids. Madcap's locations are usually busy (for good reason). if you are looking for THE grand rapids coffee experience, Madcap is where you should go!

Great place! Coffee, cookies, and quiche are all very good. Right I. The heart of downtown GR. It's usually busy, but worth the wait.
