MacNiven's Restaurant & Bar

Been frequenting MacNiven's for years. Amazing place - great staff, relaxed atmosphere and to call the food delicious would be an understatement. I initially went because I always wanted to try haggis(btw, don't let it intimidate you, the haggis is incredible), but I keep going back. Every dish I've tried was awesome. Scotch eggs...how could you not try/enjoy them!? The onion rings are huge and incomparable(in the best way) to any other onion rings you've ever had. The salads are fresh, perfectly cut and tossed(they actually trim the greens). And the Fish & Chips were the best I've ever had.

A great little Irish pub with vintage decor. The food is authentic and delicious! The servers are pleasent and knowledgeable of the menu and specials. Located on Mass Ave with plenty of wonderful shopping and sites to see on foot and can easily ride the bus, rent a bike or scooter.

Great bar with great service. Had the veggie chili and it was pretty tasty. The bread was really good. The place is clean and offers indoor or outdoor seating. The menu had something for everyone. Irish food is the theme and everyone I spoke with loved the lamb stew and Shepard's pie.

Great experience at MacNiven's! My colleagues and I enjoyed lunch here. We called ahead for seating and were able to get a table right away. Our food was delicious, the atmosphere was pleasant, and we had a great time.

My friends and I meet here on occasion for drinks. Great beer/drink choices. We tried their food last weekend and loved the beef stew! So delicious and hearty :)

Went here for dinner with friends and family. Service was awesome and efficient! Food was delicious and plentiful. Prices were not out of line for the portion! Ahhhhhh, the beer.......it was frosty, with many choices. If you can't find a beer you like here well, shame on you! Great views,especially if you like to "people watch". The menu has something for everybody- American standards and Scottish favorites. Bottom line: you will not be disappointed that you stopped in!!

I was looking for a different place to have lunch today. I stopped at McNiven’s and I could not be more thankful that I did. The food, atmosphere, and service was excellent. I’m definitely coming back for more later.

My husband and I have been here twice from the recommendation of my parents! Both times super good food/drinks and the fastest service anywhere we have been and we travel everywhere! My husband got the fish and chips both times and loved them. I had the roast beef Manhattan first time which was wonderful and very filling and got the shrimp and chips the second time which are good and very filling as well. Their bread pudding was fantastic!! This last time we got the onion rings and some of the best we’ve eaten! So so good! Everyone has been nice and welcoming both times upon entering. If you need a hearty yummy meal and short on time, this is your place!

Incredible service! Kimmy took good care of my family and me - checked on us several times (but not too much!) as we sat and chatted for over an hour. She was very knowledgeable of the food and drinks on the menu and answered all of our questions. Food was hearty and tasty! Desserts were especially large and delicious!

Love this place. Food is amazing and you couldn't ask for a friendlier staff!

The bread pudding is AMAZING!!! It was huge (perfect for our table to split) and we all loved it. Good atmosphere and yummy food.

They have my fav Scottish lager, Tennents, that I havent found anywhere but Scotland
