Mackey's Public House

We stopped in here for breakfast in December. We loved the vibe. They had super friendly staff. The hall was old and modern at the same time. Great menu. They had a to go menu or you could sit and it was a bigger dine in menu. We ordered the tator tots, cheddar biscuit, fried chicken honey breakfast sandwich, maple bacon donut and vanilla donut. Everything was awesome. Great flavors. The water was great with no after taste. The only thing negative about this place was the bathrooms did smell bad. I would go here again when I am up in DC next time.

Had an amazing time playing Pac-Man with my girls! Really brought me back to my childhood. Overall really warm and open ambiance.

Spicy chicken sandwich so well seasoned !!!

This restaurant has ordering through the bar or app. We tried using the app and found the service to be very slow. In addition, the phone service is spotty and we didn't get 1/2 of our order for 45 minutes or more. Food was ok. Drinks were good. Edit: The restaurant contacted me about the review.

Great space with arcade games and plenty of TVs. Only complaint is that the bar does not close at 2am every night like it claims to. We were watching a game until 11 and were told that they were closing at 11... otherwise, the beer selection is decent and the ambience is nice.

Excellent atmosphere. Great beers on tap. The food menu is very limited. I hope you like Chicken:)

Nice mix between a doughnut and a fried chicken shop! Plus the beer makes it even better. Good service included, makes this a good experience for lunch

I went here before an event and it was so nice to meet the staff, I think I was customer 2 or 3 at the time. The bar lady was lovely, pity shed just been the victim of her neighbours fire recently.They have a great selection of craft beer and are happy to help you try loads of different samples, not even a shadow of a doubt that I could keep having samples until I found 'the one'. Also has a games room downstairs which sounded great.

Just enjoyed watching the super bowl here. Two levels of TVs, tables, beer and great food. Arcade on the bottom floor, with great service and high quality food and drinks.

Great place to have a pub meal in DC close to everything around the Federal Triangle and White House. Lots of good beer choices. Fish and chips as good as found in the UK. Cozy atmosphere with outdoor seating. Nice bar. Unisex bathroom.

Fried chicken, great selection of beers, friendly bartenders, and arcade games. What else do you need to have fun with friends?

Nice watering hole with delicious tots...the service is pretty slow but in general it seems to be a good place in the downtown. Happy hours!

Cake doughnuts are awesome, loved the atmosphere as well. Great environment to watch a game

Mackey's has decent Happy Hour specials and the space in the basement bar is very versatile. We've had large groups and small teams meetup here, always a friendly staff. Food very traditional bar food. Their baby Guinness are the best in town!!
