MacKenzie River Pizza, Grill & Pub

Today a friend and I decided to go out for lunch. This was my first visit to MacKenzie River. They have only been open a month here in Pickerington. The place looks outstanding. As we walked in we were greated by Haley with her smile and hospitality. Once at our table Karlee took over with all of our needs. She explained the menu and assisted with welcome suggestions. We had a large pizza. Not only was it delicious but really filling as well. Karlee never missed a beat. I can't speak of the rest of the staff but if they are anything like Karlee this place will be unbeatable. If you end up visiting and you should. Make sure that you say hello to both Haley and Karlee. Hint... Try to get Karlee as your waitress. You will not be disappointed.

Unfortunate experience for my wife on her only visit. A live, green bug in the middle of her salad. An hour went by and the manager never addressed the table. Eventually, we had the waiter request the manager. He apologized but said "it happens" and he made sure there were no more bugs in the kitchen :) Besides a comp on my salad and the offer of a cookie for the table to share, it was a pretty unsatisfying experience.

Great selection of food and food tastes great. There was no wait when I came and our waitress and other staff were very nice. They also have a lot of options for kid menu. I will definitely be coming back

Got in just before the rush.Had a couple starters.Hot n fresh !!!- spinach dip- steak bites- lodge rolls (not all that)Dinner took a lil longer.Understanding that the kitchen just got bombarded with a ton of orders.Dinner came out hot, correct and OMG good. FlavorfulNot just a pizza joint, so much more.

Brand new restaurant, so obviously there are a few kinks to work out. However, the service was impeccable - be sure to ask for Keri! & the food was incredible. Can't wait to go back!

Great atmosphere. Service was excellent. I had the spicy chicken sandwich and it was outstanding! It was quite spicy, but the pineapple salsa topping was the perfect answer to the spice. Prices were reasonable. Will definitely go back

Wait staff was friendly. Food was mediocre. We ordered the pretzels as an appetizer. They had no flavor and the cheese dipping sauce was a little running with little flavor. No one ate them. I ordered fish tacos on white corn tortillas. I chose the batter-dipped deep-fried option. The tortillas were stiff and leather-like to the point of being difficult to fold and take a bite. The fried fish was cold and came pre-broken into tiny bite-sized pieces. Weird. How long had the both the fish and tortillas both been cooked sitting around wairing for me to show up at 6pm and order them? Too long.

The Italian Grinder pizza is basically an Italian Sub on a pizza. Interesting and delicious! In and out in less than 45 minutes including appetizer and chatting with Randy, our server. Definitely recommend.

The food was great! I didn't have much of a wait but I did go around noon. I would give this place 5 stars but the server was so/so which is whatever. The food made up for that. I'd definitely recommend this to couples and families.

God I hope these employees are paid well. My experience was very welcoming and our waitress treated us like royalty. So friendly and professional with her job. The food is amazing and despite being incredibly full, I just couldn't stop eating this. Not your typical tavern. This place is really good and I'll definitely be coming again.

Food was good but we went for lunch and service was slow. Ordered an appetizer and a pizza. Took awhile to get our food and the pizza arrived way before the appetizer. Had to ask to get the appetizer. If you are in a hurry, this may not be the place for you. However, I can tell you that the pizza (original cust) was very good.

So last night was my first time there and my Girlfriends second (Polaris) which she said was excellent service. However this ones service was not good at all food was dry and warm was supposed to get salsa never did get that had to ask for silverware twice salsa and mayo after about 10 min got everything but salsa talked to the manager as we were leaving and didn't feel like it was a genuine care about it we don't plan on returning and spending 58 dollars

Awesome food and awesome service. Our waitress was very friendly and had drinks and food to us quickly. We went around 8pm on a Sunday and it was the perfect time to go since they weren't terribly busy. The California Chicken Flatbread is a must and if you download the app for the 1st time, its free. Definitely recommend.

AMAZING! This is our new go to place in the area. They have a great happy hour and you must try their smoked old fashion. My hubby loves it. The food is fantastic too. We have tried quite a few different things and have not been disappointed. I definitely recommend going there!!

Pricey for what you get, but the food was decent enough. I felt like my steak salad could have been a bit more exciting, with more veggies and a more interesting presentation. The serving size was also rather small for the price I paid ($13). Was an okay first experience.
