Great local tea bar. They have a wide collection of loose leaf teas for consumption on-site or to-go, including many blends they make themselves. My favorite is their in-house Earl grey blend, which is fantastic.

Nice little Asian themed tea shop with a variety of tea bases along with any combination you prefer. We got macha tea and gong fu, both were very tasty with the latter taking some skill to pour. The service here is awesome though, the waitresses will teach you the technique if you don't already know how. They also serve decent lunch, we got the beef noodle broth which was very rich and flavorful but lacking an authentic taste. We also got pork meat baos, they were more average with non-exciting flavors. The other downside are the small portion sizes.Overall great experience, would recommend for the tea and some food items since there's a paucity of Asian cuisines in Madison. Good ambience and service!

Awesome place to try various teas. It is so relaxing there too, and the proprietor is very friendly. I go here to relax with a friend. And the rice beer there is good my friend tells me.

Go for the wonderful selections of teas and tea concoctions. Always delicious and creative! And if you can go on a day they serve food, you are in for satisfying healthy choices. Oh, and the desserts never disappoint!

Wonderful place! Quiet, low key, and away from campus and the accompanying riff-raff. A very relaxing environment, the staff was welcoming, would highly recommend!

wonderful and knowledgeable staff took great care of us! They were more than happy to indulge our tea addiction, and to explain some different styles that they had on hand.

My daughter and I stopped at Macha for lunch on a recent Sunday. The menu is small, but extremely creative. Our food was served Japanese style, in an oversized bento box type of tray. Several small bites in various compartments and the combinations were creative and flavorful. If you're looking for traditional American food, this isn't your place, but if you enjoy Asian and Mediterranean inspired dishes with a creative flair, give Macha a try. You won't be disappointed.

Went for brunch on a Sunday. The drinks (matchaiato and the "firecracker" tea) were well-crafted and flavorful, and the food (donburi) was delicious. The service was very friendly, offering us some small leftover tea and cookies to try while we chatted at the bar.All in all, a great experience--we'll definitely be back :)

One of my favorite places in Madison! I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful and welcoming the staff are. All of the employees, and the owner, Anthony, especially, always give me a unique and educational tea experience. Not only are they able to recommend the perfect drink for your mood, they always are sampling something new and interesting. The shop is beautiful too and they sell loose leaf tea and tea sets to get you started with home-brewing. This is a place I’ll truly miss once I graduate.
