Lush Wine & Spirits

My co worker and I came after work on a Friday to have a glass of wine. We have been here multiple times. We are teachers and work just around the corner. We each got a bottle from the $12 section. While we were sitting and drinking our single glass of wine we heard the man working tell the people who just came in, "You don't want that wine, it's not very good. It's only 12-16 dollars." Then proceeded to push then off the the wall where the more extensive, and expensive, wine collection was. My friend's jaw dropped. We were sitting not 3 feet from where he was saying this. If you don't want people to purchase $12 bottles of wine, maybe you shouldn't have them.

The staff here is so friendly and helpful!I love the fact that the selection is smaller and curated but still extremely diverse regarding regions and grapes. Great store if you want to try something new without the risk of getting a dud. Plus you can drink it right there if you're super excited about your find =)

This place is about quality, not quantity. They don't have a huge selection, but what they carry is superb. I appreciate their variety of prices ($10-$100 and beyond), and the staff is so knowledgeable. Truly, it's their knowledge and suggestions that has kept me going back. I have learned a lot about wine pairings from them, and I even had prior knowledge! Even if you know what you want, just have a conversation with them - you'll learn a lot of amazing stuff.

Fun spot to stop for a drink. Cool vibe and lots of good wine choices. Nothing boring, lots of new things to try.

Staff is very eager to help and knowledgeable. The wine selection can be a bit esoteric, but the staff has consistently explained each wine every time I've been there

This place is a gem! Come in, find an awesome bottle of wine (or beer!) and sit down to enjoy it. The staff is very knowledgeable and welcoming. They have something for every price range and don’t miss out on the food offerings!!

This is one of my neighborhood wine shops/wine bars and I feel lucky to have it so close by. They have a great selection of wine and craft beer and the decor is quite spectacular (for example: a chandelier made out of wine glasses and large light-up letters in the window). The prices for bottles don't go any lower than $10, so this is definitely not your Trader Joe's selection. I haven't been to the wine bar side, but the apps looks delicious and the atmosphere looks charming. Tip: If you buy a white that is not chilled, they have a wine chilling machine that will chill it in 5 minutes! Pretty rad, if you ask me.

I have been to Lush on Chicago twice and had totally different experiences! The first time, the woman who served us was friendly and helpful - offering suggestions and going the extra mile to make sure we had a great night. However, on my second night, it seemed that every order was a great inconvenience and annoying to the two male employees. I'm so embarrassed that I recommended this spot to my friends - we we're treated horribly, had to make a real effort to order anything and, when were chatting and drinking together after closing time (which we didn't realize the hour) the employee's friends yelled at and mocked us! Before the server mentioned that they were closing. I will never go back and don't recommend that you go there either.

A hidden gem. Great wines, spirits and reasonably priced beers. Knowledge staff.

A bottle shop, but you can drink the bottle on site with no corkage fee. Nice vib, great wine, friendly staff.
