Really tasty and unique food for a good price! The atmosphere is fine, but the service is kind of bad. The waiters are hard to track down, tend to forget a few of the orders, and seem kind of hurried. However, the great food always keeps me coming back. It can be very busy during peak times, so I'd recommend booking a table on Yelp ahead of time to save yourself some time waiting out front.

The food was not bad at all, except for a pork thingy that was almost pure fat. But everything else was pretty good. It's different than traditional dim sum in the sense that they don't bring you random food to your table. You just order what you want to eat and they would bring you just that. The ambiance is nice and price was reasonable. They close too early, though.

After they take your first order, they tend to leave you alone. This is not ideal especially if you like to drink liquids. The portion of a really big and the food was very tasty (3 Star). The seating area was ample and you didn't feel packed in like a sardine as you do with places that have carts (2 star)Get there with enough time to find parking.

Peanut Allergies be aware - ordered 3 orders of steamed chicken feet to go. There was no mention of peanuts in the menu description. Luckily, there was a stray peanut on top of one order (the rest were hidden on the bottom) otherwise it would have been deadly. We had to throw all three orders away. This is the first dim sum place we’ve visited in over 40 years that steamed chicken feet with peanuts.

Inventive takes on classic dim sum! Portions are good but it adds up fast because everything is shared family style. It's easy to get carried away with ordering things because everything on the menu is amazing.

I love this restaurant! They serve first-cleass dishes, they have a rich menu, The chef in that restaurant is a professional, I love a lot eating all their dishes. The dishes are consistently good, the service towards the customers is helpful. I frequently visit this place and I not even once was unsatisfied. I recommend it to all my friends.

One of the beat and most affordable dim sum places in the area. Authentic dim sum experience. This place is second only to Din Tai Fung, but much better when looking for a more wallet conscious version. Very busy on Sundays especially so try to get there right when they open.Love this place can’t wait to come again.

Stumbled across this really good dim sum place in Pasadena. All the food we ordered was great. Their service is really good too. And the prices are also reasonable. I will be back!

A very good restaurant with extremely authentic food. The Dim Sum Jumbo Shrimp are big and damn tasty. The cooks do not skimp on meat or shrimp. Everything is prepared fresh, fast and gently. Excellent quality at good prices. An absolute recommendation for Cantonese food.

The food is flavorful, delicious and fresh. I took enough leftovers home for another 4 meals. I wish they would allow reservations for parties under 8. The Yelp reservation system didn't work outside of the restaurant. The best Dim Sum chain restaurant in LA.

It's a clean place and good service. The quality of the proteins is not high. There are Asian restaurants in the area much better quality.

This is Tony's Dim Sum now. Pasadena location just opened couple of days and still in "soft opening". We were invited for open house dinner but missed it. The place is very modern, food is exquisite and service very attentive. Sam who is one the managers here is very welcoming and explains the menu very throughly. The table cloth covers are all handmade and the food presentation mimics that of the menue.

Questions & Answers

I would highly recommend based on my experience. I was there little after lunch time, and it was fully seated still. The wait was not too bad, but for Friday night I would assume it will be lot worse than that

I think they are open.

Dim sum is a style of Chinese cuisine prepared as small bite-sized portions of food served in small steamer baskets or on a small plate. Dim sum dishes are usually served with tea and together form a full tea brunch. Wikipedia
