I have been to a few other Luke's Lobster locations around the country and world (Tokyo, Japan). One thing that I find incredible about Luke's is that the lobster is always fresh and sustainably sources. While my lobster roll was amazing, per usual, I have to give a surprising shout-out to the lobster corn chowder. The broth was rich and creamy with a nice amount of sweet lobster meat. The balance of naturally sweetness and savoriness was exactly what I need on a cold and rainy winter night in New York City!

Very large portions of meat in both the lobster and crab rolls. Same can be said about the lobster bisque. Service is somewhat subpar compared to other locations of this chain. Prices are a little steep. Seating in The City Kitchen however is quite good (the place also has a sushi bar, ramen outlet, coffee shop and others, like a little food court).

This is the best Luke’s Lobster in town. Friendly staff and fast service. This week Lobster roll is on sale for $14. It’s located inside the City Kitchen on the Row hotel 2nd floor (enter from the side entry). Highly recommended. Downloaded the app and buy 5 times you get $10 back. Simple and easy. I still wish they can accept the ApplePay in the future.

Questions & Answers

We absolutely have options made without gluten. You can get your lobster on a bed of organic greens instead of a bun, or you can get it on a gluten free bun. You can also get just the seafood on its own. Our clam chowder and lobster corn chowder are also gluten free (thickened with potato starch). The only thing to be aware of is that we have a very small kitchen, so traces of gluten could be present on anything; you should be wary if you have a serious allergy. Thanks for asking!
