Lucky's Delicatessen

Delightful place. The best pastrami I have had in a long time. Moist, flavorful, melt in your mouth pastrami. Their pickles are sour and amazing. Knowledgeable staff. FYI, i went to Katz deli in NYC a month ago and this pastramiIs better.

Sandwich shop in downtown Durham. I was initially a little disappointed as I was expecting something similar to a northeaster Jewish deli which it is not, but they do make really good l, delicious sandwiches both hot and cold. Made fresh to order and bread is good. The larger sub option is huge and too much. Some of my personal favorites are the Italian, chicken salad sandwich, and meatball sub. They make everything with care and fresh. Easy to eat I or take to go.

Best pastrami sandwich ever... Well it's a damn fine one anyway. Best I've seen in the Triangle. Matzo ball soup is stellar as well.

The line that reaches out the door should tell you a little something. If that doesn't clue you in... grab a Reuben and side of the potatoe salad, you wont be disappointed. I'll be going back to try that great looking meatball sandwich!

That salmon sandwich was awesome! The cheesecake with a sour cream top was one of the best slices I've had out in a long time. My first time in today, definitely a great spot and I look forward to going back.

Out of this world Reubens. Order the 50/50 for half pastrami, half corned beef. Great staff and service too.

Lived out here 6 years and have never been able to find a good/Jewish Deli, but luckily we landed on Lucky's today and couldn't be happier! Great Tuna Melt, Coleslaw, and most importantly Matzah Ball Soup, we will most definitely be back!💯🤝

My husband and I absolutely LOVE Lucky’s. The food is always on point and they seriously have the nicest freaking staff. You don’t expect much from counter service, but they always go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and make sure you have everything you need. We recently moved away from Durham and make it a point to visit anytime we’re back in town. Always great!

The matzo ball soup is the only thing I want when I'm sick. It's awesome and totally worth it.

Awesome food super friendly staff...I am a New Yorker and just had three best pastrami sandwich of my life! Entire family agreed that Lucky's is a must!! Also there pistachio cookie is to die for.

An authentic deli in a restored historical building. Staff was nice, atmosphere was awesome, & food was so delicious. This is not your typical sandwich shop, it's much more than that.
