I am so happy to learn about this spot! They gave me the best po boy I've had in NY, and it's cuz they know what they doing. Really nice oysters and gumbo, and great engaged people. I'll be back for sure.

No disappointment here. Po’ Boy sandwich is super tasty. Great ratio of filling to bread. Simple food perfectly executed.

New Orleans cooking has officially found a home in Brooklyn. The food is spot on. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff to top it all off!

Incredible food and incredible variety of different types of food. Sandwich? Try a po boy. Soup? Try a gumbo. Full entree? Get some rice with excellent seafood. Plus — start off with a delicious selection of Oysters. Lowerline is a meal for every mood and time of day. Make it a regular stop if you live nearby or check it out if you’re in the neighborhood.

This place is amazing. The Peoples Street special is soooooo good. If you haven't been and like gumbo, this is your spot. I promise you.

Wow, I am so glad to have this place in Prospect Heights, the food is amazing!! Tiny spot with some good food and even better service! Flawless experience that somehow included the famous Cafe Du Monde?! We ordered friend shrimp and would recommend that plus oysters. We will certainly return!

Great ambiance and food! Small location so may be challenging to get seating. Definitely recommend trying the étouffé or one of their po-boys!

Good food, great vibe and kind people. Samuel was a fantastic server with helpful recommendations. Small space so you may have to wait, but it’s worth it!

Order the fried shrimp. So good.

$20 for a bowl of gumbo as main dish, not worth it. Which cajun restaurant doesn't serve jambalaya?

A small place with only a few tables but the atmosphere is cozy and lively. We had the gumbo and etouffee which were both very flavorful and rich but not heavy. Prices are good for what you get but the portions are not huge - you won't walk away feeling stuffed. Wine and beer only at the moment - the panna cotta is something else!

4.20.18 - simple and very tasty southern food. Although there are some incongruent interior design choices, the space is designed well with simple accents. The service is quick and well informed. The seafood gumbon is spot on with fantastic balanced flavor; the shrimp po'boy is expertly done; the red bean and hame was rich with flavor without being over seasoned. We'll go back for oyster happy hour in the near future. A good time to show up is first seating or 25 minutes after. There are 4 two tops and 5 or 6 bolted stools at the bar.Worth a go!
