Loudon Square Buffet

"Our job is to make you happy" a kind elderly man said with a smile as he helmed the register. "That's a tall order" I shot back, meeting his smile. Succeed they did. The place has so much character. They make no bones about what kind of place you're stepping into from the outside, and I appreciated the years of love that look like have gone into this place. An American Express coffee cup looking like it's seen decades of use, but clean when handed to me as if it were his favorite cup. That's the beautiful kind of dichotomy I love in places like this. Everything is appreciated, there is no facade here. The staff is friendly, the food feels like it was made with love by your aunt, and the price at $8 flat for an adult is fair even if you just eat a single plate. If you're adventuring like me, this a nice place to recharge and feel at home.

Cash only but so delicious. It's like having home cooking. You cannot beat the prices. 2 adults and 1 child for $20.75. Its not huge and it's kind of a hole in the wall place but it's worth it.

Great staff and the vegetables are to die for. Max knows you by name. One time I didn't have any money with me and he trust me to pay him later. The black guy on Sundays is nice also. Like family

It's the best home cooking AND a lot of it that I've ate in a long time..

I have eaten here several times, and never been disappointed. My favorites are the fried chicken and stewed tomatoes....ON POINT!!! I noticed a few folks rated this place low, commenting on taste, quality, etc, and saying they know what southern cooking is. Yeah, right. I'd love to put a mental inquest warrant on pogues like that. They probably eat dog food normally.

Great price good food

I don't like this place as I go here sometimes due to my 95 year old Nanny loving it here. It is run down inside & out. The food is kept and reused the next day. I never get buffet anymore and order the burger and fries which is the best thing here for the price. Huge burger and fresh cut potato fries are the best meal to get here. My husband says fish is okay. Parking lot is the worst with potholes and bumps. Staff is friendly though.

The food is good but I could barley eat without noticing how broke down that place is. So if you eat there take a TAKE OUT plate. Cause that's the only way you will enjoy your food. Renovations quick

It was delicious!!! Buffet style service. Good American fare, fried chicken, mashed taters, hot dogs and sauerkraut, delicious green beans!!!! I could go on but you get the idea$8.50 adult, $3.95 child under 9, Cash or checks only , no debit or credit cards acceptedI recommend this place!!!

So from the outside the Loudon Square Buffet looks pretty sketchy. However, the food on the inside was actually very good. There were plenty of options and you cant beat it for the $8.50 pricetag. Please know that they only accept cash, so go prepared. 94 on their inspection report. I would not hesitate at all to go back.

This buffet is value priced and offers a good selection of food. I feel there is a difference in quality from food to food as they serve some things that are clearly from a can or box (green beans, mashed potatoes, etc) while others are freshly made like the fried chicken and catfish. The place is definitely old but clean. If you're looking for top quality food, there are better places to go for country food. If you're looking for a very affordable buffet, this would do fine.
