Midway between hipster Dumbo, forgotten Vinegar Hill, and the Farragut Houses, Los Papi's turns out seriously tasty 'Spanish' eats. Think juicy roast pork and veg over rice with fried plaintains and that addictive salsa verde. The Cuban sando is awesome: ham, carmelized pork, nice roll to hold the juices, pickles and mustard to cut the heaviness. Humble digs, very friendly staff. No surprise that diverse patrons were streaming through. It rivals Margon and Sophie's.

This place is CASH ONLY. There is an ATM inside their store. Unfortunately I didn’t realize they were cash only until everything was already in bags so I had to use the ATM. There was a $1.75 fee for me to use it. And a minimum withdrawal of $20. The arroz con gondules were tasteless. The platanos had good flavor but undercooked. Pernil was delicious!! As well as their chicken breast with veggies!

The best Cuban sandwich ever. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. Bring cash, and make sure to clear you schedule for a couple of hours after eating, you won't get much done after consuming this.

this place be da bomb. . .i am here at least 3 days a week & for $7 you can't eat all they give you. . . they have a menu but think HS cafeteria style. You walk in & look over all the deliciousness they have behind the glass & then you start to pile it on the plate.rice, beans, chicken, beef, pork, salad, veggies & if you dont see it they can make it.DUMBO is full of "i just discovered Brooklyn" transplants who love to pay way too much for stuff the locals know where to get for half what they trustifarians are paying.go here & eat.
