It was close to closing and I know everyone was ready to go. It's a Saturday night. Anyway they took the time to prepare my meal to go and it was actually good. It wasn't rushed. The gentleman at the bar was extra nice. Thank you Longhorns staff.

Happy hour yes but typically no early bird
I don't believe Longhorn offers any early bird specials or a happy hour. You can order off of the lunch menu from the time the restaurant opens for business (typically 11am) until 3pm, however. The lunch menu has smaller, less expensive portions of the steaks found on the dinner menu, plus a vast selection of lunch sandwiches, etc.
If you are signed up to receive their email specials, you should receive an email from Longhorn inviting you to join them for a steak (at your expense) and they will pick up the dessert. My free dessert offer arrived 5 days before my birthday and it expired 9 days after my birthday. Hope this helps!
