We had a great stay at Alohilani. The location was great. It's a bit pricey though. Not sure we got true value for money as a family with 2 kids 10 & 13 as we didn't really get to take advantage if all the services that we'd paid for as part of the resort fee. And the pool was small, with limited seating close by, and the pool area is shaded of an afternoon so it gets cold if there is a breeze (outside of peak summer time). Location was excellent. Room was clean. View was lovely in our partial ocean view room. Good block out curtains. Air con was a bit noisy though, especially for the person sleeping right next to the unit. As a family, it didn't really feel like somewhere we'd spend much time. Catered better to adults. Great place to sleep (though I found the beds to be way too soft, rest of the family were ok with this), and then leave for the day, hence the feeling of it not being good value for money. All in all though, we did enjoy our stay. Would we stay again? Maybe, if I could get a better deal (value of AUD at the moment didn't help I guess). It was a lovely resort in a great location.

The hotel is gorgeous and at a prime location (a short walk to the beach and shops). However their system didn't work during our stay so we could only have one room key, and we got no room service on day one for some reason, so I asked for it on subsequent days. Not the best experience, but still good.

We loved the room and view. We were on the 35th floor, corner room, balcony view amazing, but terrifying. We could see mountains, city, and beach from balcony!

Amazing hotel!! We could have not asked for a better 6 days!! Everything was perfect from arrival to check out! The staff are the friendliness most welcoming staff!! We loved everything from the room , location of the hotel, decor and ambiance, food, pool , patio and all the amenities and activities there is to do! Overall best hotel !!

The staff was very welcoming and extremely helpful to us This was our first time in Hawaii and the staff made is feel like VIPs ensuring that we our trip was the trip of a life time. The location was within walking distance to almost everything we wanted to see and do.

This is the worst experience I’ve ever been through. Customer service is very bad. I’ve been charge for resort fee when no one cleans my room I had to ask for three days for new towels. I’ve been charged for smoking fee 400$ when I wasn’t even smoke or smoked in my life, the hotel over charged me when I received a receipt of 300$ they charged me 1600$ when I didn’t even drink or ate at the hotel. I would definitely recommend you to be careful before booking this hotel, dirty rooms small showers, hairs all over showers and room. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD!!!!

Wonderful place for vacation. If you take Oceanview room, you can enjoy weather 24/7 from your room itself. They have nice swim pool and Sauna on 5th floor with wonderful view of ocean. Food and bar service along with the pool. Food is not very expensive either and of good quality.

Definitely expensive, but compared to other places nearby it gives a lot more for the price, in my opinion. The staff was great, there were a lot of really smart green initiatives at the hotel and built in water bottle fillers throughout some parts of the hotel. There are shops connected as well as a car rental place. Every staff member I had interacted with was wonderful. The views from the room were better than I expected and this was the first time I felt like a hotel bed was comfortable. The entire place was beautiful and had some amazing resturants attached. If I had the opportunity I would stay here again.

We stayed at this resort hotel due to a recommendation from a family member’s previous stay. All is well until the second day where room service is performed. I tucked my silk PJ under the sheets and after we came back to the hotel, the sheets are changed and my PJ is gone. I called guest service and a manager took the complaint. She said she will email the laundry service company and follow up. 2 days passed, I called, still no progress. Night before checking out, I followed up again, still no update. They took down my contact info and promised to follow up. It’s been 5 days since we have been back and zero contact. It’s unprofessional and upsetting to say the least. There was no alternate options offered if not found, no one explained anything. We are disappointed thoroughly.

Rooms are a bit smelly. There was a scent of poo when we ran the A/C, it eventually left after a few hours. The bathroom is small and shower has a glass that sorta blocks water from getting out. So you will create a puddle from showering. Floor is a bit dirty, but the cleaning staff are AMMMMAAZZZING and all of them are quite friendly especially in the morning. The front desk staff are hard to get a hold of. Laundry was harder to get to and have done. The front desk had us take it to the Bell desk, which is not their job, but they took care of it for us and they were a blessing in disguise. They were very limited on beach towels, so we never were able to get any. The valet personnel are amazing, I just wish they had the ability to use their own CashApp or Venmo to offset having to divvy out cash or obtaining it. The coffee bar has limited hours, and I never seen the actual bar bar open. The hotel is located right across the street from the beach, so that is a plus, and it is walking distance to almost everything. Would I stay here again, possibly, would I recommend this place over other hotels, prob not, but this place is an ok stay if you want to come to Waikiki, but try to explore away from this area. To many tourists

This hotel did anything BUT impress me . I was so unhappy from the moment I entered my FIRST room , we we had to quickly change because it smelt like moldy cat litter ( they have carpets ) the a/c for whatever reason was not on in the room so we had to change the room . Next room we get similar smell but not as strong , only 3 out of the 4 elevators were working , which you wait minimum 5 minutes to get in the elevator . The types of people staying at the hotel , is questionable because you don’t know who’s actually guests or not because they don’t lock the doors or monitor who’s coming in or out. While we stayed the hotel was hosting a high school prom in which tons of teenagers were roaming the halls screaming and yelling , almost 100% sure half of them were not of legal age to book a hotel room the hotel offocurse didn’t seem to care. All 3 days of our stay we had no soap in the bathroom it was 100% EMPTY we left a note and they still missed that so that goes to show you what type of actual cleaning this hotel even does . It looks nice in photos and in person , but the rooms are equivalent to a comfort inn , this hotel is a 37 story holiday inn , my advice would be for $300 plus a night pick somewhere else .

The Alohilani Resort was amazing! I took my Mom there for her 75th birthday and she smiled so much. It is centrally located, the staff is friendly, professional and experienced and Morimoto ASIA is a must try! Wonderful experience, wonderful hotel. I am definitely going back!

We had an amazing stay here! Myself, my wife, and my 1.5 year old son: breakfast was great, everyone was great with the baby (especially the breakfast staff, who looked out for him), and overall service, food, and experience was stellar. Would definitely stay here again!

When I was checking in , their computer system wasn’t working, despite I have paid everything upfront, the staff member at the front desk still insisted on charging additional fees. After I checked in, the phone line was down, the wifi can’t be connected and I had to go to front desk to request some room service. During 3 days stay , my room hasn’t been clean once , I requested housekeeping to clean my room but they didn’t come and clean after 3 hours . The noise proof is so bad as I can hear the noise every time when there was someone walking in the hallway , and I can hear the next door flushing toilet.

Perfect location and setting the staff were nice, but looking to up charge most of the tîme. There’s a nice market in front, facing the beach and restaurants all around. I prefer staying in this area as opposed to the bigger places towards the South.
