Are you craving some seafood? How about a pile of sauce-covered shrimp or steamed snow crab? Maybe you're looking for the satisfying crunch of fried conch or a savory soft-shell crab sandwich. At Lolo's Seafood Shack, you can enjoy a taste of the coast - or the islands - without ever having to leave New York City! In the Caribbean islands, a "lolo" refers to a traditional restaurant where you can taste local dishes, seasonings, and flavors. In 2014, entrepreneur and hospitality guru Leticia Young partnered with executive chef Raymond Mohan to create Lolo's Seafood Shack. The goal was to introduce New Yorkers to the flavors of the Caribbean and provide a new twist on coastal seafood favorites. Young has more than a decade of experience in the hospitality industry and trained at the French Culinary Institute. Chef Mohan grew up in the South American country of Guyana and used to visit the local street market every day with his mother.

As soon as we walked in the young lady at the counter greeted us gave us sometime to look over the menu and answered all of our questions without attitude. She was very thorough with all of her answers regarding the food we were asking about. It's a pretty small space, you definitely could not do a large party in there. But, what they lack in space they make up for in pleasantness, professionalism, politeness and definitely good food! My new "food to go spot" for sure. I love supporting a business like this!

Lolo's is so freaking good. I've been going here for years but wanted to say that I've ordered take-out since the CoVid shutdown began (call in your order and help them avoid the Seamless fees!) and the food was just as good, on time, service was great. Miss these guys and hope I'll be able to have some garlic fries and a beer in the backyard soon.

A colorful establishment with very good food. I had the conch fritters and sweet potato wedges, excellent! One of the few places in NYC that you can get conch fritters. Friendly and pleasant staff. Good eating!!!
