Soup of the day- a mixed vegetable puree - was very tasty. Could have used a few more veggies in the side salad. Service was good.

Amazing meal combined with amazing service. Highly recommend the mussels. They were delightful. Our waitress was so attentive and you could tell she enjoyed what she did. The atmosphere was perfect. Almost felt like we were in Europe, not Roanoke, VA. Thank you for such a great time! We will definitely be back. 😊ðŸ™

Excellent meal, warm quiet ambience, our server Claire was fabulous. Really originally prepared dishes. I don’t like restaurants much but this one was excellent. My first time in Roanoke and glad to have discovered this gem.

I do not go out to restaurants much but came to Local Roots with family Nov last year.The fare was so fresh and creative I was looking forward to heading back on my birthday next week.Alas, the pandemic has dissappointed my plan. Please support this truly "Local" gem. I plan to get take out and buy a tee shirt to show my support.

Local roots was very good. The scallops were cooked perfectly and the burger melted in your mouth. The flavors fell just shy of finely tuned, but were enjoyable overall. The service was a hair slow at times, but they were very busy and were always courteous. This isn't a place we would frequent, but it is a great date night spot.

Had an excellent experience at Local Roots. Food was perfectly prepared & careful attention was given to my food allergies. It's hard to feel safe eating out with celiac & a citrus & citric acid allergy but the chef & wait staff was awesome. My friend & I were both pleased with our meals!

SO DELICIOUS! Beautiful menu, creative chefs using ingredients from local farms, and staff with a passion for food. I enjoyed the roasted potato turnip bisque and the pork - both were amazing!Will definitely be back and would definitely recommend!!

Local Roots is so delicious and never disappoints. Their burger is one of the best I have ever had and their Sunday Supper menu is fantastic! Pictured is the brunch burger!
