Lappert's Premium Gourmet Ice Cream

Place is real kitschy! Feels like we are walking into a ice cream shop in Hawaii. All flavors look phenomenal! Shakes, ice cream, bowls, smoothies etc. From decadent to plain; this place has it all with a little island flava! Aloha!

This is the spot if you love ice cream! Lappert's is a Hawaiian brand and this location offers several flavors, many with a tropical theme. You can also get Dole Whip here as well as date shakes with dates sourced locally. Customer service was friendly and my order was delicious- highly recommended!

Excellent service, unremarkable strip mall experience and surprisingly good ice cream. Flavor profile (and ingredient lists) are very similar to Baskin Robbins. The use of skim milk and corn syrup makes for a lackluster mouth feel and “one note” sweetness that is cloying. HOWEVERLappert’s pairs this industrial ice cream production process with some smart flavor choices. The Kona Coffee Chip features a nice coffee flavor and bittersweet chocolate chips which round out the sweetness nicely. The chocolate ice cream is a little less interesting. I neglected to try the mint. Next time. Lappert’s also gets props for its extensive menu of sorbet’s and “interesting” ice cream flavors. While very rarely am I interested in the “interesting” flavors it is becoming increasingly common that ice cream joints with green tea or mochi flavored ice creams won’t also have chocolate and vanilla. Lappert’s has both traditional and unique flavors. It is worth the trip.

Oh my goodness. I had the Blueberry Cheesecake ice cream. It was DELICIOUS. The Dole ice cream was so soft and refreshing.

We stopped here on our way home from the beach, and did not regret our decision! It’s a little on the expensive side, but the portion sizes were great and the ice cream was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location was easy to find and right off the interstate. Now we have a stop in Palm Desert if we come back this way!

Really good smoothies made with real fruit juice, fruit, and coconut milk ice cream. Don't have to worry about dairy! My kids loved the ice cream.

You got to try the date milkshake and the staff as well as the owner are super friendly and helpful. This place has a real Beach Bum theme going on and it's amazing

Superb ice cream. The best date shake.

We had to try a date shake, and, since Shields closes at 5 p.m., this was the most convenient place. We’re glad we did. They are pricey at nearly $8 per shake, but tasty and they can’t be found at home.
