Lantern Chinese Restaurant

Writing this review simply because I’m amazed to see this place rated as high as it is. Food was regrettably edible, service was rude, and again I’m just wondering why this place gets decent reviews. Came in just for a pickup that was ordered from my fiancé’s door dash account and was scrutinized over my order like I was picking up a $15,000 piece of jewelry. Seriously- there’s less order scrutiny at bulletproof glass Chinese restaurants in Compton (literally, I’ve eaten at a few in passing when I lived in LA and they were also much better quality). This place isn’t cheap either. And currently I’m about to throw out about $30 worth of a $60 order- the part that’s not edible. Try one of the other 200 Chinese restaurants in the area instead or just throw a dart at a map and if it lands in the garbage you’ll probably still find better food there.

Egg Roll was the best I ever had! Waitress was very, very nice.. The rest of the food was horrible. We honestly could NOT tell what meat the General Tso's chicken was..and that was awkward..If I ever went back it'd only be for the egg roll..
