Good food and service, Truck parking is good.

I've eaten at this establishment on numerous occasions and I have never had a bad meal or service yet.. They always have new and exciting specials to choose from.

$15 for 2 eggs, bacon, hash browns with American cheese, and 4 slices of bacon - along with a glass of OJ. The bacon was beyond crispy. Waitress was far more worried about discussing a wedding than she was most of the customers. I went because it's one of "those places" in Eastern Iowa you hear about. I won't need to return.

Pretty good restaurant, sizeable portions with proper flavors, fabulous pies & desserts. The staff is very accommodating. Their pricing could be a little more competitive though.

Excellent food and service!!!! Sarah was so nice and friendly, came back and checked on me several times when I was there. Food was so good, plenty for 1 person. Very impressive!!! Will definitely go back if I get a chance. I hope her boss let's her see this review!!!

We were staying in the area and since the reviews were so good we stopped for lunch. It was the 4th of July and the place was very busy. Our waitress was very accommodating when we were finally seated and served us our beverages and placed our order right away. I had the fish sandwich and my husband had a burger. Both were just okay. The sweet potato fries were very good! We went back the next evening for dinner because they were serving prime rib and there aren't very many sit down places to eat in town. We were very disappointed because the prime rib came with grill marks and was barely warm.

Family friendly atmosphere. Country, hometown fare. Large portions. Great variety. Awesome desserts if you have room.

I got a huge steak from the specials menu for a great price. The waitress was pleasant and the cheese curds were delicious.

The baked cod was excellent. Cheesy potato soup was awesome. Also have a large selection of pies and cake.

When we didn't want more German cuisine we stopped here expecting adequate food. Much to our surprise we both had excellently cooked steaks and one amazing server. Went back for breakfast and were very satisfied. I would go there again if I'm ever in the area.

I was staying at the Crest County Inn, and this place being a short walk downhill made it a no brainer. Donna, one of the wait staff, even kindly pointed me to a local geological site to give me a tip for photography. Very friendly service.

Love this place! Always good service. Food is excellent and the menu has a lot of variety. Very generous portions. Save room for the strawberry shortcake desert they're known for, you'll thank me later. Great value price wise.
