TERRIBLE SERVICE! We waited for a table. After we sat down we waited for ONE HOUR for the food to arrive in drips and drabs. Two people served entrees. Then the appetizers arrived.We sent them back. Then we waired. Then another two people served.Then we waited. Then the fifth and last person had to wait for their entire.I'm only giving them one star because the food was good. If you are going to try Lams don't go on a Friday or Saturday night I won't be going back!

The only real authentic Chinese restaurant I have found in Charlotte. I never thought that there could be a Chinese restaurant like this in Charlotte. It’s so cozy and so Chinese that I feel like I’m back in some corner of a Chinese city when I eat here for the first time. I’m really glad that they kept the food true to the taste instead of Americanizing them. Charlotte needs more restaurant like this because lots of people here don’t really know what real Chinese food is like. I will come back again and again for sure.

The attention to detail is startling. Everything you order here will be better than what you're accustomed to. If Lam's was a provincial or farm to table joint, everyone in the city would be beside themselves raving about this place. If you love Asian food, do yourself a favor and try Lam's. Fair warning, the atmosphere is typical shopping center fast food takeout, but the food is something you might expect to find in San Francisco or New York.

Absolutely amazing place. We are always on the lookout for good Chinese restaurants and this place definitely makes it on the top 5 for me! We ordered pan fried dumplings , string beans XO sauce, Hong Kong soft shell crab, Malaysian style curry chicken and honey roasted pork. Everything was absolutely amazing ! Chef/Owner Lam used to be with a favorite place in another town and now has his own place. So glad to have found you!Delicious and authentic dishes. Friendly and courteous wait staff. Love, love, love!!!

Hands down the best and most authentic Chinese restaurant in Charlotte! We had 6 dishes - duck, fish, lamb, tofu, eggplant and greens; everything was fresh and delicious. The service was great as well. We will definitely be back.

Phenomenal authentic Chinese restaurant...a little small, but great food!

Yummy food. Looks like they have Cantonese style food and Sichuan style. Interesting since these couldn't be more different. I had Cantonese style and it was pretty good. Saw some other people with Sichuan food, looked authentic.

Authentic Chinese food with best quality! They provided many options in their menu so you can try lots of delicious food.

The food is great, but the service is unbelievably slow until it gets so busy they can't dawdle anymore. They're also sketchy with credit cards... my mom said they added $15 to her bill after she already paid + tip and she didn't find out until she checked her credit card statement. I don't know if it was a mistake, but I would check your statements carefully after coming here.

It was very good. Loved their sweet and sour chicken. They do cook it with peppers and pineapple unlike most take out places. We also tried the pepper steak and fried rice. The pepper steak was also very good, the fried rice was just ok.

My husband and I got several different items to try. All of them were excellent. It is true, the space is tiny. We sat at one of the tables outside. It was a little warm but service was attentive. Everything was fresh and hot and delicious! Definitely will be going back to try other menu items.

Wow! I was very surprised that Charlotte had such a place for Chinese food and I'm talking about very authentic Chinese food! This place is very comparable to good restaurants in SF, I loved it!We ordered 6 dishes and each entree was great! We ordered tofu clay pot, stir fry green bean sprouts, steamed fish, ginger scallion lobster, five spice duck, scallion lamb. They were all tasty! I've dined in hundreds of Asian restaurants and I would rate this as one of the top 20 Asian restaurants I've been to in the U.S.The staff and service was great! Very friendly people. The restaurant is a bit small but surprisingly not too long of wait, maybe we were lucky to go at the right time. I will be back when I'm in Charlotte.
