Being served by Michitosan is a privilege his cocktails bring you in another dimension.The bar has a pure cocktail bar atmosphere and watching the team working is a pleasure.The service is very personable and prices are very reasonable for the quality and standards you get.I will definitively come back next time I am in Nara.

Amazing cocktails! Only downside was not knowing how much cocktails cost (around 2000yen) and that we left smelling of smoke (people were smoking cigars). Cocktails were really delicious though!!

This place is amazing. Make sure to ask the bartenders for recommendations, because they always have some interesting concoction that won some competition. We had a whiskey based drink that was served out of an egg glass. Tasty and super interesting.

An incredibly unique Negroni

A World Class Level bar hides in Nara. Kaneko san won the World Class Global Champion and still runs the bar by himself day by day. You can drink the surprising cocktails with new technique and Japanese craft attitude. It merries west and east culture. Amazed experience!!

Wonderful ambience. The two seperate bars look surreally amazing. The drinks were good but the cocktails that the bartender recommended were a bit too ordinary. I would have like to try fancier and rarer cocktails for the price. Make sure to try sth more exotic and unusual there.

This guy knows what he is doing: great cocktails and whisk(e)ys. Give a few criteria on taste and preferences and you will get something aligned to your liking. Of course prices are what is to be expected in such a place. Ambiance / interior is also great. Only downside is that smoking is allowed inside.

This is the best speakeasy in Japan. A must while visiting Nara. No menu, drinks are customized to each client’s taste.

Absolute gem of a bar hidden away down a back alley behind an innocuous door. By far the best cocktails we've had in Japan and in quite a few other countries too! Excellent selection of Japanese and Scottish whiskeys also. Prices are high but less than London, but where isn't!?

Coined the best cocktail bar in the Kansai regions by a few of the Kyoto bars I went to. I highly doubt they were exaggerating. All of my drinks were executed very well. From a Oaxacan old fashioned to Biju made with Japanese gin and Japanese garnish (cedar wood) to a signature drink of theirs which is a yogurt washed Crown Royal. Michito-san and Yoshi-san were awesome. They made everyone feel welcome. They're English is great as well.
