LaMesa Mexican Restaurante & Cantina

Food is usually pretty good, including complementary chips and salsa. However, their waitstaff is pretty bad around lunchtime. Every time the last few months, it won’t be very busy, but we still wait 10-15 minutes to get drink refills, 10-20 when done to get the check and another 10 to have them cash us out.

Decent service but just average food. Had a chimichanga and the chicken was quite dry and tasteless. The chips and salsa were okay. Good chips. Not very good salsa. Not seeing why this place gets voted best of Omaha.

This the second time we have been to this location on 158th and Maple. We WILL not be returning. The food is absolutely horrible and the managers want to charge $1.00 for little cups of the table sauce to go that is free on the table when eating in. The tamals were dry and burnt looking. Unfortunately, you spend $50-60 for food that tastes like that. Never again!

I ordered a burrito gigante with steak only to find out they barely put any steak in the burrito. I had to order a side of steak just to give it some meat and the side I received clear was 10x more meat then what was in my burrito. Overall I paid $13 for a burrito with rice and beans. I could get this quality at taco bell for cheaper.

Thank you Louis for a wonderful Christmas Day evening! The restaurant was under staffed (no bartender,very few servers) but you were so nice and did the best you could under the circumstances! 😄👍👍👍

Chips and salsa and queso dip were great. Had the entree Gigantic burrito and it was delicious. Pic was fresh too. I'd recommend.

Was enjoying a nice meal but once I got to my last taco I realized the birria was spoiled for the price that they charge this shouldn’t have been the case just disgusting and only got deducted the one taco it should of been on the house the whole meal but just lost 4 customers will make sure nobody comes to eat here I do not Recommend!

What a rude lady we had. We wanted to talk to a manager and she said she was the manager. Wow. We won’t be going back to this location !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fun atmosphere, great waitstaff, excellent food, and delicious drinks! Minimal wait for a table and our food and drinks came out right away.

I was hoping for more but just OK tonight. They are celebrating their 25th anniversary so all specials should be mentioned by the server upon greeting at the table instead of having to guess. Our meals were fine but service was slow. Second drink took forever to arrive and additional order of flour tortillas took equally as long. Used Pinpoint birthday rewards for $10 off and they were nice enough to sing happy birthday and give a shot to celebrate. I think it could have been better.

Great food. Order wasn't quite right but they happily corrected it. Friendly staff

Good food as always, the Queso is amazing!!! Service was better than it has been before, but they didn't give us extra napkins when asked and it would be nice if the gave you a spoon for the Queso to drizzle over your entree if you wanted.

Ordered online. Told ready in 45 min. An hour and 30 minutes later it still wasn’t done. Apparently they don’t check for online orders until you complain that you have been waiting 15 after your pickup time to even start your order. Never again. No curbside.
