Lafayette Grand Cafe and Bakery

Truly a great place for a Sunday brunch with the family. I’ve walked by here many times, and I’ve always wanted to try it, and I’m glad that I finally did. As far as my experience here, I’d say the food was really good, and so was the ambiance. I would recommend the banana foster French toast; I’ve never had anything like it. I could sit here and describe it to you, but I think the better idea would be for you to just go try it - seriously, it’s that good. Despite my raving about the French toast, I actually chose the lemon pancakes for my meal.I thought the service here was pretty good, but nothing outstanding. Our server was friendly, but obviously busy with other tables.

A really great value. I went during restaurant week and the food was not only delicious but also quite affordable. The country salad with pomegranate, not overdressed and delicious as well as the skate with a brown, lemon sauce was excellent. My friend loved the duck confit. Will definitely recommend. Oh I almost forgot, the service was friendly and offered good advise on the wine. Can’t wait to come back

What a fabulous find! Coming from the Arcadia Earth exhibit around the corner, we chanced upon this restaurant and it was absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious, the server attentive and funny, the menu had options for each of our palates and the wine list was pretty good too (per my companions.) Seriously loved this place and can't wait to go back.

This place is great to meet someone for a meeting or enjoy with a lot of people but there is also something to be said about coming alone and truly enjoying all the flavors one dish has to offer. I often find myself here on a lunch break, the staff is always kind and attentive. And the food is out of this world. From their bread at the beginning of a meal to the desert everything is so excellently crafted. There has never been a time that I was disappointed and I don’t think there ever will be.

This spot is my favored. I visit plenty of restaurants but to this one I keep coming back again and again. The stuff is very warm and the cooking they cook is so appetizing. I am always happy to have a nice dinner here. Highly recommended.

I've been regularly visiting Lafayette for over three years now. It's amazing to see such a popular place keeps evolving. Their desserts and bread are always outstanding - I'd say one of the best in Manhattan. There's consistently new and/or seasonal kinds so I never get bored. During my recent visit I am pleased to find out their food is a lot better than before - a step closer to fine dining. A place to hangout with friends and family and sitting alone is just as good. This is truly a treasure in the neighborhood and a great place to explore for locals and visitors.

Lovely place and an even better atmosphere. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Food was enjoyable and their bakery sells really good pastries. Safe to say I will definitely be coming back
