An authentic French bakery with wonderful breads and pastries. Recently bought an assortment of mini tarts for 2 friends celebrating their October birthdays and they thoroughly enjoyed them, especially the lemon custard tart which was the group favorite! Thank you for a tempting assortment of exquisite desserts, always a wonderful selection. Hopefully, on my next visit you'll have my yummy and delicious Brookies available♡▪♡▪♡

Highly recommended for a casual bite to eat. This is a wonderful spot for pasteries. They have a tasty selection of sweet and salty items from the oven; I really enjoyed the fruit tart and blueberry brioche. The cappuccino was decent but surely not as spectacular as the baked goods. There is limited seating in a small area outside and most of the seating is along the way in front of the display case and cash register.

About 10 tables, some for 4, others for 2. Food is great, speed and efficiency dependant on server. We had three dishes, which were presented quickly. I wouldn't being a group larger than four.

Why wouldn’t you go here when you go to Carmel? Either the bakery or the restaurant in the town. It’s a lovely, laid back French bakery in “the barnyard” which is across Hwy 1– delicious really. The food in the restaurant in town is very satisfying. Our must-go place every time we visit from the city. Love the baguettes, the pastries and everything else!

A true gem! I'd recommend the croissants but then I'd recommend everything else equally! Try it all! In fact, there should be a checklist...Takes me back to my trip to France for my honeymoon. A must visit!

All I got was the coffee, but compared to actually coffee shops in the area it was solid. For what it’s worth, the cafe smelled really nice & the staff was very friendly. We didn’t try any of their pastries though

A quick stop here for coffee and almond croissants here at the Barnyard. Parking was good. Croissants were the best. The bakery is located in the northeast quadrant of the shopping center near the Tricolore flagpole.

Both my husband and I lived in Europe as children and we adore french bread. We love this bakery and have never been dissappointed. We often stop for a pastry and coffee. We find it a great place for a treat after we take a walk in Carmel by the Sea. Love this place and we love the Barnyard for shopping, eating and just enjoying the beauty.
