Just Superb. The staff was attentive and the food great. I have a dairy allergy and they were able to provide a pure vegan course for an extra $10 (you must notify ahead if your visit if you have dietary restrictions). They have a curated selection of teas and can either pair them with the pre-fixe or you can switch them as you go. Finding the entrance can be a bit tough it's just a townhouse with a plaque of a tea cup near the door. Go here and have a great afternoon. It's worth the price tag.

It's definitely bougie, but it was delicious.

Love this tea room. If you have a sweet tooth then you will definitely be a big fan too. The tea sandwiches were creative and yummy but most of the other items are sweets... Which I didn't mind given we were there for that sort of thing. Wonderful service as well. Many teas to choose from - as you would expect.

First off, I'll agree with a previous reviewer that there have definitely been some cost-cutting measures taken at Lady Mendl's. However, it still offers a very intimate and cozy afternoon tea experience. The space is beautiful: exactly what you would imagine a Victorian tea parlor to be. The tea service is a five-course affair and there is still plenty of food, but it's really not a gourmet destination. Come here for the ambiance. It's a great space for a bridal shower or an afternoon with the girls - get dolled up and enjoy a quiet afternoon of tea and desserts.

Lovely spot for high tea. The tea was great, food was tasty and the host was very friendly and helpful. The decor and atmosphere is perfect for a gathering.

I was looking forward to visiting and trying Lady Mendl's based on a family member's recommendation and my love of tea venues. Unfortunately it was a huge letdown from slow service that stopped as we were given the check, which happened sooner than other guests who got there after us. We had to ask for refills. They do not even give you your own pot of tea. The food looked better than it tasted and was like the experience over all, disappointing. I have had tea at many places around the city ranging from the Plaza Hotel to Alice's. Considering Alice's is half the price and twice as good I would not recommend Lady Mendl's and I don't get all of the great reviews, maybe they got a different menu/server.

This place transports you to a different era. The selection of teas are really interesting and pastry's are really good.

great sandwiches.. and you can get more of them on demand.. teas are not impressive .. note that you have to get 65$ 5 course meal to try all their teas aka no al a-cart. Teas isn't the focal point if you are looking for having gourmet teas.. but its the ambiance and company! Go here hungry and to spend some sometime.. our server was just almost adequately adding to the experience so all stars go for sandwiches, 12 layer cake at the end and ambiance. btw scones could be better and moist and not dry and crummy...

A little dissapointed. The atmosphere is beautiful. The food was average. However, you feel kind of rushed through each course. This shouldn't be, especially paying $59 for scones, small finger sandwhiches, and tea. It made it difficult to enjoy the experience. A little too pricey for what is served, as well.

They also sell all the ingredients you need to cook authentic Ethiopian food if you love cooking; I am. If you are interested in collecting some cultural items, it is part of their offer check the pictures I posted. They value good customer service. You will be welcomed with smile.
