By far the best/coolest place to eat around the area. HIGHLY recommended.

This historic fire place turned bar and restaurant is a amazing place to eat, drink, and celebrate with friends and family. The ambiance and history hung along the wall makes everyone wander the bar and look through passages of time. It has great food, service, ambiance and is a absolute must if in Barre Vermont.

Glad to see the old fire house being put to good use. Ladder 1 grill has amazing food, the atmosphere is that of a general pub. 3 of us went out and we all order different foods and everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Next time I come back for a visit I will definitely be making a visit to Ladder 1 a priority.

Great food, terrible service. The restaurant has a nice, historic atmosphere and the food is very good. We had a party of five, everyone was happy with their meals. However, the service was horrendous. It was slow, inconsistent and simply poor. The waitress was reaching over people to serve dishes when their was no need as there was plenty of room to walk around to the next person. There were no "check ins" on our drinks or appetizers, drinks sat empty, plates not cleared. The kitchen was horrifically slow, what should have been an hour and fifteen minute meal turned into a 2 hour 45 minute ordeal. Service was simply poor. The waitress was very nice, apologizing for the waits, but it wasn't enough to overcome the bad service. I think the kitchen was terribly slow and the waitress was not properly trained.

Food was perfect an in a timely manner friendly staff just a pleasantly awesome lunch spot.

Nice place. good service. 4 cheese pizza was pretty disappointing. tasted bland. it would only take a little more effort to make a good tasting pizza dough.

I had the burger. It was one of the best I've had. Not a lot of fries but just the right amount. 2 👍👍! Go and enjoy you will not be sorry.

Absolutely a must see for the firefighter. Ladder 1 grill is the best restaurant around, amazing food. Completely amazing how they turned a old fire station into a grill that has different items on the menu from firefighter around the area. Tons of firefighter pictures and tee shirts and more on display.

Great food and Wait Staff!! Megan was awesome. Everything taste homemade out of grandma's kitchen. Located inside a old firehouse vibe was cool and a band was playing!

This place is so fun. I love to see the firehouse theme isn't tacky. It's tasteful and the food is on point. Our go to is wood fired pizza but everything we've tried is good. You can't go wrong here. The staff is wonderful. We've had a few different servers, Erin, is one of them and all of them were excellent. A+

Top of the scale. Great people and great atmosphere. The owner, Valarie, is fantastic and always makes you feel at home
