10/10 Service, absolutely excellent service can't recommend it enough. Food is very good, house made pasta and sauces, probably one of the best Italian places in Columbus. Charming atmosphere. Make a reservation.

I have never had a bad meal or service! I rarely go back to a restaurant but we come back time and time again. The bread is wonderful, the salads and entrees are fantastic. Top notch service keeps us coming back.

Came to celebrate with friends and had the most delicious and rich risotto here. The lemon tart and tiramisu were also really good. Will come back for special occasions!

We decided to try La Tavola based on a family recommendation. The inside is smallish, but lovely. The host at the door was friendly, if not confused. The place was nearly empty, 1 table of two and one table of 4. The remainder of the space was empty, save a guy at the "bar" that overlooks the kitchen. The host asked if we had a reservation. Did it matter? No. The place was empty. We went at 5:00 PM on a Sunday night. Our service was passable. The "water" delivery for four came with three glasses. We didn't get silverware to eat the starters until after 3 were on the table. These are simple things that make people go hmmmmm when they are getting ready to eat. the kitchen is open - so, you can see what's going on. The menu was spare, they were out of a few things, not great when there are 4 entrees on the menu and a couple of pizzas. We all ordered something different. One of the dishes (mushroom ragu) had crunchy noodles, but was eaten because it was 25 dollars. The house salad was explained as mixed greens with pine nuts and citrus vinaigrette. The salad was all bitters with chunky of onion and grapefruit. That level of bitter needs balance, cheese, bread, something. People didn't eat the salads, unfortunately, the food was wasted. The service staff noticed and offered nothing. The meatballs are full of bitter fennel (greens). If you don't like black licorice, you may not like the sauce. The noodles are obviously handmade, so expect an al dente experience with dense noodles (nonna noodles). The garlic crostini and antipasti were the best things on the menu, and the saltiest experience I've had in a while. The olives were the best thing on the board. No explanation of the weird stuff was given. There were pickled grapes? 5 kinds of meat and a mystery red paste that looked like pate. Explanations are required for food that varies, a food allergy was averted at the table with an ingredient that was out of place based on the dish. After the food came the server was much more attentive to filling waters and asking people if they wanted more food. The server did not ask if we wanted any desserts, drinks or extras (and that was a missed sale). Service - C - food - B Note: A nearby couple said our experience was out of place and the menu was very sparse and "weird" in comparison to a weekday evening.

Overpriced and portions were too small. Our service was alright, but I can get better Italian at lower prices elsewhere in Columbus.

There is some problem with this restaurant regarding customer service. I tried to call them for reservations several times yesterday and no one picked up the phone-- there is no way to leave any voice mail message for a request for reservations. Just now I called them-- the person who answered the phone asked if I could hold (I said I sure)-- then after 5-10 minutes of holding he cut me off. I called again--and got a request to enter an access code number. I called again and someone picked up the phone and just left it down so I could hear him talking to everyone. He would not answer. This was a great restaurant-- my family and I live in Grandview but after this rather rude behavior we will be going to other great restaurants in Grandview and not this one.

Love this place, love the rotating menu board, love the staff, love the kitchen!! My favorite place in Grandview, why have you not been here? I'll whisper that to keep it all to myself. Bravo La Tavola! 🐔👌👍

Had a wonderful Father's day dinner here. Excellent service and food. I had spaghetti and meatballs. They had a fancy name for it.. Everything house made and delicious. I hope to return again soon.

Must try if you’re in Columbus! Has an authentic Italian feel, inviting long conversation and plenty of delicious food. Great place for a date or for families. Wonderful service every time and the best noodles in Columbus by far. One of our favorites!

We went to La Tavola for a friend birthday dinner after the birthday girl had eaten here recently. The table ordered a couple bottles of wine and an assortment of the different menu items. I had the brisket special pasta dish and it was fantastic. I tried a couple of the other menu items ordered for the table and they too were great. Everyone had excellent things to say about the desserts that were ordered. The service was top notch and we did not feel like we needed to ask for much of anything. I'd recommend checking this place out if you are in the mood for some great Italian fare. I'll be returning for their Sunday specials.

An absolute gem! Our server was so nice and informative. Drinks were excellent, I got the Negroni. The house made bread and oil were excellent. The crostini and burrata were great starters. The burrata was the star in my opinion. I got the gnocchi and my husband got the pork chop. Everyone at the table cleaned their plates!!! We will definitely be back!!

A meal simply could not be better. Incredible bolognese, al dente fresh pasta, ACTUAL parmigiano reggiano, super fresh and flavorful salad, with exceptional service!
