My personal favourite Mexican spot. Food's fantastic, live music, charming staff, laid back vibe. It's really great.

Hands down, most authentic Mexican I have had outside of Mexico. It was taco Tuesday today so that means $1 off taco prices. We got one of each taco on the menu, plus a big bowl of this fantastic soup. I cant remember the names of any of the foods. It was all good, just go and check this place out for yourself. The service is fast. The waitresses are prompt, and the kitchen prepares food faster than expected.Updated on 2018-12-18: it was music night tonight and there was a pianist and trumpet player on stage. Kitchen was fast a d food quality did not suffer. The single server was slower and needed to be prompted for menus and the bill. Understandable as she was the only one working everything from the bar, to taking orders, to serving food and busting tables.

Our fave go-to place in the Junction. Always a great vibe, delicious food and margaritas. The depth of music talent that play at La Rev is always outstanding. Have been going here for years. Love the cultural, community and unconventional scene. Funky bathrooms are great too.

2nd night in a row ordering delivery (use skip , support canadian!!) . Last night I had pulled pork and tonight I have shrimp tacos and a pulled lamb. The tacos are full of delicious filling, not just a little sprinkle in the middle, the sauces are perfect. I got a tortilla soup as well that was very well wrapped and super delicious. I doubt I'll ever get tacos anywhere else

Very good burrito. Lots of content inside and tasty. The sauce was surprisingly good. Fast service and the atmosphere was nice. There was a piano player entertaining the guests.I would like to go back and try some more. Came with a bag of tortilla chips which were a nice touch. Friendly bartender/waitress as well.

Now, the sign says "La Rev" but it's the same goodness it's always been. Friendly, prompt service and good quality food and drinks at a reasonable price. Atmosphere is less trendy than Playa Cabana Cantina, but the value is much better here. It's my choice for Mexican when in the Junction.

Cheap taco nights on Tuesdays are a MUST here. Also, the vegetarian tortilla soup is amazing. You can't go wrong with their margaritas either!

This place sure knows how to please their clients. Regularly with a very nice demeanor. The food is reasonably priced, always delightful and clean.

The place wasn't full or busy when we arrived but it took a while for anyone to greet us, then the table we were sat at wasn't cleaned yet from the last people. 15 minutes for our server to finally take our order, we noticed that she spent a lot of time chatting to regulars. Our food literally took 40 minutes to arrive, we almost left. Chimichangas were delicious but lacked the crispiness a deep fried item should have. Quesadillas were pretty bland and soggy, again, it should have a satisfying crispy shell; I had to use ALL the condiments they provided to get any flavour. Both dishes arrived barely warm, wasn't "authentic" Mexican food and overpriced for what you get.

This place is a complete joke. The food was so expensive for what you get. $8.5 for guacamole that only comes in a very small bowl with a few chips. The whole experience was nothing but waste of money. It took so long for the food to arrive and it tasted far from authentic Mexican food. They just mix bunch of nonsense together and make it look good and charge you so much. My family's experience here was awful and eventhough we payed a large bill, none of us left satisfied and we were still hungry since the portions were ridiculously small. Owners please take note that you're not some fancy restaurant, not even close. Flies buzzing in your restaurant with poor service, poor taste and your business for it's customers is simply a waste of money. I have tried many Mexican restaurants and there are so many better options out there even if some of those may be more expensive, at least they worth the money.

My boyfriend and I went for a late dinner last night and were both delighted with the food. We got in just before the kitchen closed and were pleased that they cheerfully squeezed us in. I tried the tacos, which were on special, and got pork, chicken, and shrimp. The shrimp was my favourite, but the grilled pork was also a taste surprise, with a slice of fresh pineapple tucked in with the pork.My boyfriend tried the chicken burrito. He was excited that it measured up to his long-standing favourite burrito experience at a hole-in-the-wall Mexican place in Chicago over 10 years ago. There was some great jazz happening, too, with Peter Hill in piano and Reg Schwager on guitar.Earlier in the week, we held a party at La Rev. We rented out the entire space and had them do the food. It was a fantastic place for a party, especially one with love music and jamming. Indira, the owner, bent over backward to make everything work for us.Highly recommended in every way.
