Everything made fresh on premises - including the chips - the best I've ever had. Flavorful, affordable, quaint. Cool, open space on a quiet park lane run by a lovely couple. The chef, a native of Guatemala, is amazing. This is not the mango margarita speaking, although it did speak eloquently.

Highly recommend La Mansion. Best Tex-Mex ever. I know Tex-Mex from living in Texas for a long time. Food fresh, flavorful and good size servings. You will leave satisfied and smiling. Queso with yellow is the best queso I’ve had in the past 20 years. Worked at a Mexican Restaurant out of high school with the best queso. Have finally found its equal. Guacamole was flavorful too. I will be back. Family owned.

Loved it. Not your average Mexican.

I am a 4th generation Texan. This ain't Tex-Mex. This is just Mexican. The menu has no chimichangas, no stuffed jalepenos, no Pico de gallo, no tostadas, no steak steak (only a ribeye on the Ranchero plate and carne asada on a few offerings ), no chicken fajitas, guac listed only on one plate (should be its own dish), tortilla soup, bean soup, Indian Summer soup, no chili, no Shiner and where in tarnation is the Lone Star Flag!!! No self-respecting official Tex-Mex joint would be caught dead without the Texas Flag flying first and foremost. Heck, even the Texas Roadhouse gets it correct. While your food may be the best that NOLA (which ain't much) has to offer, you get one star from this Lone Star certifier. By the way, I can get a chimichanga and stuffed jalepenos in Singapore and Atsugi, Japan. They weren't half bad.

Having just moved here from Arizona we love the New Orleans food scene. However, we have much missed good Mexican food until today when we discovered La Mansion. Authentic in every way. The home made smoky house salsa and home made chips were even better than anything we had in Arizona. We had to take an order home. The Enchiladas Suizas could not be better. Plan to try everything on the menu. Also nice to have a margarita that actually tastes like a margarita. Prices are reasonable. Owners Edwin and Veronica are friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is down home and comfortable. Oh my goodness - have no doubt this will become our " Go To Restaurant".

Amazing hidden gem! Great food and amazing family atmosphere. The Salsa is to die for! You must check the board on the wall to see the specials!

Right when we walked in we were greeted with such kindness. The service was great! The food came out fast and we finished it even faster because it was SO FREAKING GOOD! I'm not too big on tex-mex but it was literally the BEST enchiladas I've ever had in my life! 10 out of 10 will reccomend this place everytime. I don't go to the city much but this will definitely become a regular stop for me!

Oh man where do I begin. Everything was so tasteful, and wholesome. Some of the best Mexican/Tex Mex I have had in the city. I would go back just for the chips and salsa. I can't say enough good things about this place
