La Jolie Bleue

I absolutely loved this little cozy business! The food was some of the best I've had in years. The man and wife who run the business are very personal, respectful, and overall wonderful people. The building itself is easy to find, cozy and small, and perfectly clean. I can't say it enough the food was fresh, cooked fresh every morning, and was served quickly and kept warm and perfect. Can't recommend this place enough! If you get a chance come here!

Delightful, cheerful, delicious! Loved the cappuccino and Kalb Al Louz- small square bar of semolina, honey, orange blossom water & ground almonds, with whole almond on top. Cosy tables and big sofa upstairs. Many savory options for meals, too.

Great place! My wife and I came late Sunday night and were treated like family. The owner Tahir and his son provided great service and food itself was outstanding. We had both chicken and lamb soufflés and pistachio and strawberry gelato . Highly recommend and we will be definitely visiting when we are back in Georgetown.

Amazing fresh croissants and pastries!

Amazing family owned restaurant in the heart of Georgetown! Best almond croissant I've had in years. And so friendly, pretty decor, and tons of seating by the windows.

An absolute gem. Great place for gelato, pastry and coffee/expressive. Very nice decor and vibe. They soon are going to add food menu to their offering. A must try!!!. We tried different gelato and there were all delicious, making it difficult to choose.

This place is a hidden gem. Everyone should try this and you WILL continue to go back. Authentic food, all of it is delicious.

Although it is certainly possible to get sandwiches and platters to take away, the food at La Jolie Bleue is delicious and beautifully cooked and far from the slapdash fare that so many smaller places offer. This week I took away two dinner platters (one lamb, one vegetarian), a baguette and an almond croissant for the next day’s breakfast. Both the dinner platters were flavorful, with a variety of roasted vegetables. The lamb was exquisite, tender and falling off the bone. The baguette was crusty and the almond croissant delicate with just the right amount of marizpan baked inside. La Jolie Bleue is family owned and service is personal and warm, with explanations of how the dishes are made. This restaurant is a gem and a wonderful addition to the neighborhood.
