La Cucina Italian Eatery

The food was exquisite and the ambiance is just wonderful. The pastas, sauces, polenta were absolutely incredible! Nice waiting staff too but a bit slow for a Wednesday evening with a half full restaurant.

As soon as you walk into this Restaurant you get a warm feeling.Awesome looking. The staff here is very tentative. I love the food here, and it has a great menu. Also great portions. Went last night and it was busy I went without reservations and the hostess Diane got us a table of 6 quickly.5 Stars all across the board

Italian restaurants are a dime a dozen. Many are excellent and you have a ton of options. If service is a priority for you LA Cucina Italian Eatery in Assembly Square Somerville is not for you. We were seated and waited for 20 minutes without a single person even saying hello. We decided to leave and took our business somewhere else. The food may be great, I really don't know. What I do know is that the service is terrible. When we told the host why were leaving he didn't really seem to care. Earls was excellent though. Go to Earl's and not LA Cucina Italian Eatery where service is non-existant.

My boyfriend and I went to this great restaurant last night. We were looking at the menu outside the restaurant before deciding to go in and the maître d’ welcomed us and was so kind that we decided to give the restaurant a try. We were seated at a great table and the food was excellent. The restaurant was not too loud, even for a Friday night, and the staff went above and beyond to check on our table to see if we had everything we needed. We will definitely go back!

I loved this place. Amazing cuisine. I ordered a pasta and was delicious,also the waiters were really kind and friendly, would definitely recommend it!

Loved this place! The food was great and the waitress brought complimentary hummus, bread, and bruschetta as well! The decor was very rustic and charming. Would definitely recommend!

Good restaurant with solid Italian food and dashing decor. We have dined in this restaurant on a weekend as a family of four. The dining room was clean with a great modern decor. It was a pleasant experience. The food was true to Italian cuisine, the portions were really generous and kid menu was satisfying with options like salmon. We have chosen chicken piccata and chicken Marsala. Both tasted good. The chicken was not bland. It was properly cooked and seasoned. The sauces were the best part, genuinely Italian and tasting awesome. The service was fair but it could be improved. The little pieces of bread and small dish of plain olive oil given before the meals were disappointing, though. Neither of them tasted special. I could have done without them.

Had the three cheese ravioli and gnocchi. Both were so incredibly fresh and delicious! Friendly staff and excellent atmosphere. Will definitely be returning!

Our server (Nick) was incredible and the maître d' (Diane) was excellent. The restaurant has a beautiful aesthetic that creates a wonderful ambiance. The chicken parm was the literally the best I've had in my entire life, (and that's saying something since I'm from New York).La Cucina gave me one of the best birthday dinner's of my entire life and I'd highly recommend to it to anyone for any occasion.

Go. Just go. Service is above par. I stopped in to check out the menu and was enticed to stay with a bottle of house wine. I sat on the patio and enjoyed the charcuterie board and the complimentary wine. I'll be back for sure.

Great food, great service good portions. If you have a party of 6 or more try to get the "wine table" on the second floor, nice and secluded and quiet.

OverallI really enjoyed the food and service. We’ve lived in Europe for two years and after we came back from Europe, we could hardly find any good Italian place in Boston. Well finally we found one. I didn’t expect it at all even though the photos look good online, but nowadays you just cannot trust the photos. DecorThe decor of the restaurant is quite interesting. They have basically five zones, outdoor, lounge, bar, table and upstairs. Each zone has its own look and feel. ServiceThe waiter was very attentive and friendly. FoodThe food was very good. The beef tartare was definitely a bit small on the quantity side, but it tasted very good with the chips. The pasta, which is what we are most skeptical about, was fantastic. My husband ordered a veal chop and it was very good as well. The desserts were both great. We will definitely come back and I would recommend this place.

Revised review: didn't have the best time here first couple of times, however 3rd time was the charme. Much better service. Management was attentive. But the best part was the food. It was what Italian should be. Simple food leaving you surprised by the flavor. Definitely would recommend. Great holiday vibe.
