La Cipollina

We booked La Cipollina for our wedding rehearsal dinner and let me tell you what...perfect spot with perfect food and perfect service. The overall experience in my opinion was outstanding. We had a lot of great feedback from our guests.The timing was great and everything ran smoothly. The food was delicious and the private space was ideal. I highly recommend La Cipollina! Just beware...parking can be difficult at busy times.

My husband and I booked La Cipollina for a private lunch before our wedding rehearsal / wedding day last month. It was perfect! The food was phenomenal, everyone loved it. Chris was awesome, very attentive to everyone and very conscious of and accommodating with my food allergy! We recently went back for dinner and again, the food and service were great!! We sat outside and was very bice. Chris again was just as attentive and accommodating. We will definitely be back. 😊

My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner here in late November 2019, and I cannot give them a high enough review. The staff is both friendly and extremely efficient, and holy mother of Zeus, the food is incredible (I particularly enjoyed the rice balls). Start to finish, the entire night was spot-on. One single word of “caution” about this place: make sure you’re hungry. We chose the family style option, for about 40 people. It was as if an army of Italian grandmothers were running the kitchen, because they fed us enough for at least 60-70 (if you leave this place still hungry it’s your own fault).Love it, and highly recommend for anyone who’s looking for an event space for 40-50 people.

Service was horrible. We were a party of 7 on a very wobbly table that was like eating on a boat. Having to keep asking for things like serving utensils for our appetizers, steak knives, salt and pepper, milk and sugar for our coffee when they should of automatically brought those things out. Also waited a very long time for our dinners. Definitely will not be returning. Very expensive and not worth it.

Wonderful atmosphere. Guitar player was so good and surprisingly not too loud to have a conversation. Menu is small but plentiful with carefully chosen dishes in every catagory, including a large selection of cheeses.

I went to a baby shower. The food was very good...

Loved sitting in the outdoor patio if felt like being in the comfort of your own backyard. Excellent service. Chris The maître d’ was hands-down amazing went around to all the tables (which I feel is something huge) had a conversation asked if you were comfortable if there was anything you needed -explained the menu -very conversational and made you feel welcomed. We're frequent diners and are never disappointed with our appitizers, entrees & the fine service @ La Cipollina.

The atmosphere is very inviting, the staff is extremely polite. Our food was absolutely amazing. Some of the best quality, you can taste the time that was put into preparing the food. Even after eating multiple courses, I don’t feel gross like I was binging. The experience was nothing short of perfect for first impressions. I’m definitely going to be back!

I've only had their take out during this pandemic but I can't wait until I can sit and enjoy "La Cipollina" in it's true form, at there table.

My husband and I got married in March 2019 in the Monmouth County (NJ) area. We were very fortunate that where we were getting married, there were several restaurants in the immediate vicinity. However, nowadays rehearsal dinners have evolved into a slightly bigger event and like my husband likes to describe it – it is basically a “mini wedding.” Our bridal party, their significant others and key family members were all invited and totaled about 35 people. Thankfully, Anthony and Matt made the experience easy. After the initial tasting, we worked with Matt, arranging the time and setting up the menu. The food is amazing - as plenty of the reviews mention. Before and during the event, the staff was attentive and helpful. We would definitely recommend La Cipollina for all future events or for just a weekday/end dinner option!

I can NOT say enough great things about La Cipollina. They helped organize and ran a seamless repast following my father's funeral for 60 people. Anthony helped me select all courses, that were served piping hot family style. Everything was delicious; our guests cannot stop raving about the food: the clams, vegetable and mozzarella platter, and arugula salad starters were each amazing; followed by chicken franchese, pasta with broccolini and sausage, and rolled eggplant. The Chef's Choice of 3 desserts were all plated beautifully and very yummy. His staff were extremely responsive and handled our large crew graciously, and the price point was very fair. Thank you, we will be back again soon (under happier circumstances)
